Why is CIC still receiving applications if their caps are filled, which it most likely is? I don't get it.

I am not sure their Caps are filled yet and if at all, then they aren't aware yet. Let the good come to me this time.

Did anyone try to call CIC to check about application count or start of processing especially the people who r already in Canada? What is their contact number if I want to call them from outside Canada?

How do we track CAP?

Dear All,
I've got a question if anyone of you can answer that for me. My wife is a dentist and she plans to study at some Canadian university in the next six months or so. One of her hospital colleague has told her that she cannot apply for a student visa while my immigration application with her as the dependent is under process. The argument her colleague has given is that you can only have one route of entry into Canada.

I've told her that it's hard to imagine this because it seems fairly illogical that she has to wait the entire time until a decision comes on my application before she can apply for a student visa. But she still wants me to get this clarified.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks and regards...

You can apply in more than 1 visa categories at the same time. You can even apply for multiple FSWP NOC's with all the documents [of course seperate packages].

Hi everybody, I've got a question. I want to apply for skilled worker 2013 as a computer programmer or a computer engineer but I need to wait almost 2 months for my IELTS transcript.... I know it's not predictable but is there anybody experienced enough here that can guess if it will be fulled by that time or not? I just wanna make sure if it's worthwhile to try because I live in Ottawa now and I have to go back to my country to prepare documents. I can apply for one of these fields: 2147, 2174
Thank you

Don't want to discourage you, but 2174 is already facing Tsunami :( IF you are already in Canada, than I'd suggest to look for other paths, for example, CEC, PNP, that'd be good. You can also apply with Arranged Employment with Positive LMO for Skilled Worker under 2174.

Guyz my application would be reaching CIC hopefully by 1st June......Suppose CIC updates on 2nd June that the cap limit under my NOC (2174) has been reached...can i rest assure that my application has made it within the cap??
Approximately, how many days does it take for CIC to check for fulfilment of an application?? (guyz pls help)

No, they would be updating for the first few days, or at most first two weeks. IF, looking at your scenario, that will mean that your package is out of cap.

One more question.....Hoping that the next step in the application is getting an AOR...do u knw any recent cases on an avg. ,when can people expect to get an AOR?? (How much time from the date of submission of ther application)
