u got your PER??? According to sheet your application received on 27th of MAY but it is not mentioned that your got your PER???

No I haven't recd it yet and also no update on DD.

Was not so sure why they called. Looks like good sign

Positive I would say - it indicates...

1. CIC are doing very thorough checks, so perhaps the VO end of things will go quicker
2. Your file hasn't been rejected for being incomplete etc
3. Your job details will by now have been verified (presumably they got the positive info they needed on the phone)

I believe this verification should be performed by the Local visa officer .......

The call was from Canada and not from New Delhi VO

Are you sure they got a call from CIC??? It can be by someone else as well....
coz none of the people on this fotun had a check like this.....i too believe this activity to be part of local VO's work....

From the forum I know it's hard to track DD but you can try by calling your bank and asking them.

Its a good sign. But I wonder how do they verify even before your file has reached VO. The reference checking part is being done by Local VO. Are sure It was from Canadian Consulate or CIC? It seems you are yet to receive your PER.

Hi

There is a link below the flag. From where (which site) you get this link. As opening this link it will show the application received by the CIC on different dates. However the discussion on this board is different.

As per the link it under 2113, it shows that the 4th Application was received on 20th Aug, 2013, however the discussion on board says that the application received till the start of June is 4.

Under the head 2174, it shows application received till 9th August, 2013 (and still there are seats in filling up cap) however the discussion on board says that the application received till the start of June is 278.

Under the head 1112, it shows application received till 6th August, 2013 (and still there are seats in filling up cap) however the discussion on board says that the application received till the start of June is 292.

I have given no of my seniors in my cover letter so may be bc of that they called him directly to verify my details instead of HR.
Also they were checking weather my roles and responsibilities are same as mentioned.

I was also surprised as I have not come across anyone receiving such call so felt like asking it on this forum.

May be they are taking it case by case and not for all and I was one of them to receive such call.

I also checked with my consultant and they said its a good sign and no need to panic.

COuld you please confirm what time of the day they received the call. Please confirm the India time.Also advise if it was with your current employer or previous one
