My credit card was charged on 1 Aug, and I called the CIC center yesterday to obtain my UCI number. After checking online, my status is "In Process" and the details shows "We received your application for permanent residence on May 27, 2013."

Does this states that I have passed PER????

I fear the same fact is true. Obtaining UCI over the phone + bank charges (CC/DD) does not mean that I have passed PER. I was very happy since 1 Aug when my CC was charged, but 19 days without receiving any email from CIC has caused a lot of frustration. I believe that a second line must appear on the ECAS Status for Eligibility Review result.

Those who have received their PER through email,

• how many lines of information are there in your ECAS Status ?
• Is there anything about Eligibilty Review results ?

I checked with rawdah its a same statement only . We have received your app. ..no other info. We got same message as with others with PER.

Yes it would, unless you have a valid reason for it which you must state in a declaration letter.

First of I would like to congratulate everyone who got their cc/dd charged and also who got their PERs
its been only 43 days since I filed my app so I have been keeping quiet and having been silently reading all the comments but yes this NDVO strike is killing me too I have no idea about this but really would like to have a positive update

And it would continue to show "In Progress" until a decision is made. In simple terms, it would continue to show "In Progress" until you get your visa stamped on your passport.

Does someone know when UCI is generated? According to fellas who app has been returned and, by the way, they'd got there UCI we can predict that UCI is generated on the very early stage...?

I think it should match otherwise it refelect one of your document is not true or you gave wrong info.

AOR should be coming from SG VO not from CIO, right? Means this is not an official 2nd AOR.

We are in same situation almost in all aspect. May 27 app received, aug 1 cc charged,ecas in process, per not received. For the mean time you can send email to cic for status, 2nd thing call cic to check if your email is correct as shown in their system, then follow a question if there is log of email correspondence that maybe for unknown reason you have missed. I have also asked the same but they refused to give detail about email correspondence. Just try. I do not consider in process status as PER because call center agent clearly says once application complete and payment has been made in process will show and PER followed by eligibility review result. Just relax and wait for cic reply on our email.

MY VO is Ottawa Canada and I live in USA but my H1b visa will expire shortly, If I don't get 7th year extension on my H1b.
If that is the case then i will be returning back to India. I have two year valid visitor's visa for Canada valid till May 2015.

Question: Do i need to change my VO office to Delhi if I have to return back to India or I keep Ottawa VO? I can visit Ottawa for visa interview using my Canadian visitor visa right? what do you guys think?
