Hi, IVR is the Voice Response in their call center telephone that interactively guided u to the desired person. When u hear the msg asking u to enter UCI at the last stage before redirecting to agent, , u should enter ur UCI and if ur DD is encashed, u'll hear a msg saying "we've received ur App on ....." else it'll direct to an agent. ... According to the poster who initially posted this method, if u hear the msg means ur payment has been surely encashed.

No I haven't yet... I'll wait out this week... even If I don't get by the end of the week, I'll assume either the consultant has messed up the email address (they made a separate one under my name for communication purpose) OR CIO themselves made some error while entering into their database ...

In any case, then I'll initiate my own communication with SG VIsa Office inquiring about the status.. !

...and Rohan my bro, you are next on a bank raid. Keep hanging; good news in en-route. You know 0211 had been slow. CIC focuses on 1112 and 2174 before moving on to other NOCs. So just B+ and wait out a bit more. Good luck !

I have also e-mailed them asking about my file status and PER last week now waiting for there reply..
is there any other option we can try to get status of our file.

Seniors, Please help clear my confusion... I am pre 2008 applicant. That application is in backlog. Still haven't got refund, but looks like it is still in process in cic records. I applied again this year under 2147 NOC. My question is:

Does cic entertain immigration application, even if a previous application is in process? Can cic reject an application which is filed this year, on this basis?

Please comment...

Hard to predict, but from what I learned from my uncle/aunt and other fellas who applied earlier around 2006 and again later got their earlier file returned and refunded. However, their latter file were in progress. If I understand correctly, CIC tries to eliminate the backlog but that is only possible if the UCI has been allocated to the candidate and that the two application were linked to that UCI.

CIC will not reject this year's file on the grounds of having a previous application in process because this one's latest and most updated. They might return and refund your earlier file as is to clear backlogs which they had been doing one way or another. Until the time your files are identified and linked to a UCI, they will keep processing them. But clearly, there no valid reason for rejecting the most recent app for reason you anticipate; some other reason such as incomplete app might be a different story.

26 Jan 2011 = ECAS available!
11 Feb 2011 = ECAS “Received by Visa Office”
15 Mar 2011 = ECAS “In Process”
14 Apr 2011 = Medical requests received!
19 Apr 2011 = Medicals done
28 Apr 2011 = Medical results received by CHC London
16 May 2011 = RPRF/PCC/Schedule 1s received by CHC London
20 Jun 2011 = ECAS “Medical results have been received”
25 Jun 2011 = ECAS “Decision made”
28 Jun 2011 = Passport requests by email
07 Jul 2011 = Delivered passports in person to CHC London (Train booked)
21 Jul 2011 = Collected passports in person with visa stamped from CHC London (Train booked)
27 Aug 2011 = LANDED!! (Flights booked)

At that time, the Visa Offices were also quoting shorter timelines, in line with the progression above.

Now the Visa Offices are quoting longer timelines... 23 months for London Visa Office and 19 months for New Delhi Visa Office, for example.
