And would a normal employment letter stating only the starting and ending date of employment and position held along with paystubs and visa petition document (which describes my duties here) suffice to score the additional 10 points on adaptability in case I want to show my Canadian experience. Would greatly appreciate any feedback and assistance on the same.

You can still apply before April 2014, since you work in canadian currently. You can apply even with the cap filled. Best of luck!

I believe ur r going to the wrong department on IVRS...
press 1 for english
then press 2 for external affairs.
then ur call will be transferred to CIC,
press 2 for immigration
then press 2 for application under process
then press 1 for PR
then IVRS will ask ur UCI number.... after 3 retries ur call will be transferred to agent available

then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc
then agent will check in the system and shall give feedback.

I issue dd from HSBC Mumbai
HSBC is international bank and the dd which they gave me was loca HSBC Toronto
So it will hardly take 2-3 working days to clear it.

So now in your case check what is the place mentioned in dd , place of canada for axis is there or axis India location is mentioned?

And go to bank and check with two employee of bank to verify their response about dd
You don't rely on their word after taking on phone , go to bank and check f2f, they will show you proof in computer if they have got any indication of dd.

Try using the following script ;) I used this and got my UCI. however, there isnt much that the UCI signifies except that they opened your application.

she will ask you for your name , DOB, etc and giv you the ID

That's why, like few others, I was not able to access online to check status although I got PER week before.

few Questions on your post

1. This year those who got their application returned, have red tick marks on their application forms ( like RAJ)
so last year , Was your package also marked with such tick marks ?

2. Did you write in your envelope "NOC category XXXX" when you sent the application last year
If that has not been the case I guess , they would have still opened your package, even if the application has reached after the cap limit , because then they could think you of arranged employment category and later realized that you were not so , included explanation letter ?

3. How long does it took for your application package to reach you? I meant approximate date, if you remember ?

1. They underlined few lines with red color on letter. Underlined lines are "We have now completed the assessment of ur application and have determined that you are not eligible for processing in this category for the following reasons." then there are number of reasons mentioned in the letter but they have underlined two reason, one is "application was received after global Cap of 10,000" and another is you did not have an arranged employment offer."

2. Yes, my consultant had mentioned NOC code over the envelope.

3. It took exact 88 days for application package to reach me.

I called cic. A nice lady gave me Client ID. I checked it online but found no information. Then I checked it over the phone. I got reply that my application was received in 2008. :o . I remembered that it was my first application that I sent to cic. I called again at the same number and told the agent that I need some information for my current application which was received by cic on may 31st, 2013. He took my information, checked in the system and told me that he cannot find any information for my application for this year and advised me to send cic an email and wait for their reply.

My NOC is 2147.

Hi Mr. Shoaibuc, did your first application in 2008 haven't cancelled yet? Didn't your receive any refunds from your 2008 application that is why it is still in there system?
