Even if they are at work today (and it is not a statutory holiday), many of their staff will be away today so things probably wouldn't happen so fast.

In all probability they have the day off, as other govt offices have chosen to do so: http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/cgi-bin/sc-dsp.cgi?rc=1515&ln=eng

Anyone want to call them and find out if they are open? :)
