Hello Guys/gals and Islandbabes,

Has any one of you issued a DD from Corporation Bank in India?
I know that it has a validity of 3 months only. Do you know how to check for the status of this DD? Whether it has been issued or not?
I have tried, emailing, calling them and then meeting the issuer in person. All of them returned "This Page cannot be displayed" or I don't know. (But they surely knew how to cancel the DD and return my money at the current exchange rate )

Corporation Bank issued this DD on behalf of TD Bank Financial Group.

Will it be of any help if I email CIC?

To be honest I am mighty pissed and sad. It would help me a LOT, if I could get any answers.

Yea the DD is issued in the Name of Receiver General for Canada and the Bank Name is RBC , Toronto, ON , and YEa ofcourse i am talking about FSWP. Can you suggest me some ideas?

It means your bank has a account in that canadian bank for issuing DD..... in any case you should check with your issuing bank only....

Corporation Bank do not have their own branch in Canada so if you have the photocopy of the DD just check which is the counterpart bank on which DD has been drawn..

Only forex department of Corporation bank will help you in this case.... You should check with them only. And ALL INTERNATIONAL DD WILL BE VALID FOR 6 MONTHS only if expiry date in not coded on DD otherwise it will be valid for that time only......

Y on the name of RBC... all DD should be on name of receiver general of canada...... Are you talking abt FSWP or other program.??

My DD is also issued in favour of RBC.Application was received
on 16 th may which is still outstanding .I think DD from
RBC takes huge time !

Our passports have been sent to CHC London on 29th July,2013 upon their request for visa stamping. Out of my curiocity would like to know wheather visas can be refused at this stage as well, if yes what could be the reasons.

You have to call there Mumbai Forex department of Corporation Bank.
Call it right now ? they will answer you immediately ! !

The bank adds bank name of the 'Pay to' automatically. My DD said BMO Bank of Montreal, ON.

What about your DD's..?? Please share
