Tu hablas (o escribes) español muy bien! Puedes practicar conmigo si quieres. Siempre tenemos más palabras en nuestros vocabularios pasivos que en nuestros vocabularios activos. No te preocupes. Todavía me pone nervioso hablar con los nativos que hablan demasiado rápido. Les digo que solo hablo un poco de español, y hablen más despacio, por favor. Entonces ellos hablan más despacio y a veces me dicen que yo hablo bien!I need to review enough that more words come to mind easily. But I will soon.
Oh right, we are speaking French here. As you all might guess, my French is terrible. So don't worry if your vocabulary is limited and it takes you a while to construct a simple sentence. I just haven't had the time to study much due to other more pressing matters in my life, namely work, trying (and now waiting) for OINP, job search, etc. But after someone pointed out that you can get the extra 30 points for French CLB 7, I thought I should take French study a little more seriously. Not that I think I will reach CLB 7 any time soon, but just gotta keep more options open. At this point I can only slowly construct very simple sentences. We can stick with simple, casual exchanges in French. I also do enjoy practicing Spanish alongside learning French and noting the similarities and differences. Spanish helps my French and French helps my Spanish. This is probably the case when studying more than one of any Romance language.
