forms being returned?

My wife has been approved for sponsoring me. My PR began processing Nov 7. At this point, no documents have been returned to us. With the website approximating the processing time of 3 months (for U.S. citizen) and Feb. 7 fast approaching, is it likely that our case will run to completion at this point in time?

Secondly- my wife's sponsorship was approved in half the time approximated by the website (21 days vs 44 days). Could a PR have the same kind of results?

thanks in advance for the response.

The 3 months is a 30% chance and it starts the day BUFFALO begins processing your application,of course every case is different, they have had a few processes within 3 months from the date mississauga received the application, so the estimated processing time on the website is just a guestamate and shouldnt be taken as if written in stone. did you do medicals up front? I've noticed also that quite a few cases have been transfered to detroit, and ive also noticed once detroit gets it, then generally about 2 weeks later they get a letter saying visa ready for issuance (PPR). so i hope we get ours sent to detroit :)

The medical was up front. Haven't seen or heard anything about Detroit. I just don't want to get any of the forms returned stating that they were done incorrectly! We did not use a lawyer so we're anxious about having anything returned. At this late date, we're quite hopeful that they won't be returned.

if it were to be returned, it would have during the first stage, sponsor evaluation part, they did an initaial assemsment to make sure it was complete, then it was sent to buffalo. If buffalo needs anything they will send a letter requesting the addition info or the left off info. A lawyer really isnt ness.so no worries, have faith.

I'm also being sponsored from the U.S and I was just wondering about the supporting documents that you sent in. We have wedding pictures and pictures of us when I was living with him in Canada (for 2 years)
we also have one apartment rental agreement that has both our names on it. We as of now don't have a bank account in both our names. We also have phone records that prove that we have kept in contact from the time i left in April 07 till now. In your opinon....do you think is is sufficant documentation?
I'm also going to send in all the background checks and medical up front with all the fee's being paid.
We are sending it in on May.

Thanks

DG,
I'd give any/all supporting info you can. Over-kill. I'd rather have them throw "stuff" out than wondering or wanting more. Just make sure you research and fill everything out completely. There were/are so many forms to complete that it becomes daunting/over-whelming. Have your wife read through the documents and make it a team thing as opposed to having one person do most of it. I missed some information that my wife caught. Hope that helps!
God bless!

I'll do that, he is comeing to visit the End of Feb and bringing the paperwork with him, we are going over it together.
Also, keep me informed on how long it takes you to get your PR approved, I'm very interested in the actual processing time.

DG,
Will keep you informed. I'm checking daily! With my wife's sponsorship being approved in half the time, we're hopeful that the PR will come shortly. First marriage for both of us, no kids, no criminal records, family in Canada awaiting us; we expect it any time!

That's sound like it's just right around the corner for you TJL
That's great and it only took like 3 months or so, I have been planning on the normal 6 months for me.
I do think that your being married for 2.5 years already and not being married before has a lot of bearing on it, but I could be wrong. This makes me very hopeful that my application will go quickly and smoothly also.
Keep me informed, and I may be asking for some help with forms here in the near future.

Good Luck

Also TJL:
Did you and your wife send in a certified copy of your marriage license or the orgional? Also, My fiance and I have been together for like almost 3 years, I even lived in Canada with him for like 2 years, we do have one apartment rental agreement with both our names on it. Then for my own personal growth I accepted a job back in the States, do you think that is going to hurt our chances of getting application approved? (the fact that I did live in Canada with him for 2 years?) he did fully support me for the time I was there.

DG,
Pretty sure we sent in certified copies of the marriage certificate. Really don't know how to respond to taking the job back in the States. Hopefully it won't :)
I'll be as helpful as I can but it's been a while since we've sent in our (my) file.
Good luck!
