Trying to help out my friend apply through AINP in alberta as skilled worker just for herself. She has 5 family members here in canada (so 6 total including her), none of which have permanent resident or citizenship status. Since she is applying only for herself rght now, does she put 1 for herself or still say there are 6 total? The other 5 are going to be applying separately under the dad. She has no children or spouse so no dependents.

Dear mcjevans,

If she is of 18 year & plus and not having any spouse, she can apply for herself only.

Right. She is only applying for herself. What I mean is the questions asks how many family members does she have, whether or not they are accompanying her to canada or not.... So how many should she put since she is applying only for herself.

As well it later asks for the family's information as dependents, however they are not dependents (mother, father and 3 siblings)

So, we need to know do we say only 1 family member (herself) and then write.N/A.for the dependents section? Or do we put down 6 family members and include their information?

No I believe you should mention only one because family means spouse & children (or dependents).

Right.

K then question 7 asks about CSQ... Does this only apply to people wanting to stay in quebec, as we are in alberta?
It asks if yo lu have received csq yet and if not it wants a date for when you applied for it.... Anything that I have searched seems to only bring up people in quebec needing a csq, so should we just check no, we didn't get csq and leave the date blank?

I'm not sure about CSQ, any senior forum member can reply about this.

Dear mcjevans,
When you select any other province than QC in question 6, then all the areas of question 7 greys out, so no need to do anything. Hope this helps
