Form asks : "have you left canada in last 4 years"

I came to Canada 3 years ago and never left; but 4 years ago ofcourse i wasnt here. So is it considered absence or not?

So what should I answer yes or no?

.please use online residence calculator website: CIT 0407 is tough/complicated as compared to online residence calculator.

Online residence calculator is easy to use and more user friendly.

Call center gave answer 'NO'

Did u use the form?
If you use the online calculator and enter your arrival date in 2012 and your PR date in 2012, the question will be: "Did you leave Canada between 2012-XX-XX and 2015-XX-XX?
If you did not leave during that time period, you would answer "no". Note that it doesn't ask you about the time before you arrived.

We are talking about 0407 E form; not online calculator
