i have applied to sponsor my ex wife, it was approved but we got divorced and she never landed . should I include that in the answer ?

to my understanding, this doesn't count as a previous undertaking , because she never actually landed in canada . the question specifies previous undertakings i signed as a sponsor ... please advise, thank you

You sponsored your ex wife. You have to say "yes" to the question.

The question asks you to provide details of anyone you ever signed an undertaking for as a sponsor, which you will have done just by applying for the sponsorship. Sure, your application might get a little extra scrutiny because you previously sponsored someone and ended up divorced. But if you don't provide that info for a question where they're specifically giving you an opportunity to declare something like that, it'll look like you were trying to hide it. And that's much worse.
