Forgot copy of passport in sponsorship papers

:'( Im sponsoring my husband he lives in Egypt..I sent all our papers yesterday to Mississauga but when i came home i noticed
that my husbands copy of his passport was still on my table ,now my question is will the sent it back to me ? and will
we loose all our money or part of it..i hope you all understand my writing lol.. all i do is cry about it im so lost i dont know what to do.
pls help....thank you

I would send in the copy of his passport separetly and specify that it was left behind. Write a letter to go along with it with both your names etc. even if you don't, they will send you a letter asking for any missing documents but It will delay the process even more.in any case, i don't think they will send your entire application back. Any of the experinced members here can correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't worry about it yet. When you send your application to CPC-M, they will only look at your sponsorship forms and all about you as a sponsor, they wouldn't assess anything about your husband until it gets to the VO responsible for his PR app. For now, just wait until you get your Acknowledgement of Receipt (if they send you one) and your Sponsorship Approval (now you're looking at around a month for this stage). When you app gets to your husband's VO, they would most likely request for the passport photocopy, this is when you send them additional docs.

By the way, they wouldn't take any of your payments unless they started processing the application, so don't worry, you will not lose your money for missing something in the app And I'm sure they wouldn't send the whole package back just because of the passport copy.

You're welcome. I am a worry freak myself, so I know how others feel regarding stuff missed on the application.
I missed an important doc in my app too, plus the police cert that we sent was passed 3 months. So yea, I try not worry so much, or else il totally lose my sanity.

Hi Mrs Selim, I am also planing to sponsor my future husband from egypt but still there is a lot that must be done which I have no clue please help me what documents do i need to start the process from cairo after marry before I come back to Canada? Please Helppppppppppppp

Hi..No you can not start in Cairo you have to come back to Canada and do it from here .You can go to Canada imigration online
it will help you with all your questions ...Goodluck

Actually it depends on whether you are a Canadian citizen or a PR yourself. If you are a Canadian citizen, you can start the process while in Egypt... however you must include information in your sponsorship application about your intentions of returning to Canada. This could be employment offer, lease agreement to rent a place or letter from family indicating you will be staying with them and they will be helping financially until you can get employment.

Not sure how long it takes in Egypt to get confirmation of the marriage...but I think that is what you need to wait on... as well as Police Clearance... leaves Medicals until just before you send applications!!!
