If you don't like it don't read it. The discussion is on topic with the thread so what's the problem?

Here is an update.....There has been no change to the situation so expect processing times to continue to increase.

Is that better for you?

What info I post is to provide others who are not familiar with the climate of politics and organized labour in Canada so they better understand why this has happened. People who want to sum things up as "lazy unionized workers just want more money" does not do anything to improve their understanding.

Today this is about union jobs. One day it will be about your job or your spouses job and you will wonder how this country ended up this way.
Man!! are you gonna pick fight with me now? ::) I would't read your posts but when I do come over here, it's right there!!! on every page... you arguing with everyone. All I am saying is that we are in this together and need to comfort each other rather than irritating. I appreciate that you want to express your point of view among everyone. Nothing wrong with that. But please restrain from name callings and personal attacks. This isn't YOUTUBE you know ;) :P

I don't argue with everyone. There are some who are determined to see this from their own perspective without knowing the bigger picture. Its those who are the focus of my discourse.

Why did you come to this forum? For info and facts or a hug? If you want a hug then you can go join the Oprah Book Club....here's the link so you can quickly receive all the positive reinforcement you need:

Hahaha that was funny. Wonder how you know about that website ::) May be instead of fighting with random people here you should stay at that website. Who knows that might turn you into a positive person. ANyways that's enough attention to you for today!
Guys I sent an email to Sydney, Australia office regrading the strike and they sent me a reply back stating no officers in Sydney is taking part in the strike at this time. However if they get applications transferred over from other visa offices like Manilla or Delhi, then that will cause delays. Let's hope the strike ends soon.

By the way, I wrote my MP and got this response:

"...this strike is only affecting the applications of student, work and visitor visas; not spousal sponsorships. Your application is a spousal sponsorship and should not be affected by the striking."

These are words from an actual MP. Could it be true that the strike is mostly affecting student, work and visitor visas??? :o

Sorry but this is not true. I have been following the New Delhi 2013 forum since my husband's application got forwarded there in March, people were getting visas at a steady rate, 1 or 2 a week. Then come June nothing, quiet, not a word for almost 2 months. That to me seems like spousal visas are very affected. Yes a few people got visas this week. But 2 visas in more than 8 weeks, is a bit ridiculous considering how many applications they have.

The very antithesis of letting the free market reign. These Conservatives aren't so conservative.

Isn't allowing labor unions to exist the very antithesis of letting the free market reign?

Without getting in to a useless back and forth, I'll just say I disagree. But we're each entitled to our own opinion.
