Realistically speaking, what do foreign lawyers do once they come to Canada?

Generally speaking, do they study Canadian law or some sort of paralegal study?

or take foreign lawyer equivalency training and pass the licensing exam?

Or do they forget about law altogether and work in a different occupation?
