Good night folks.

This question goes to those who have ever requested a family application file splitting due to RQ issued to one of the family members :

How long did it take for CIC to reply or take an action on your application?

And have you ever got a requested split done by CIC? Have you seen your request appear on ATIP?

Thanks for all your replies.

Or maybe our seniors can share here their experience with mentioned above situation.
Please comment.

Thanks!

This isn't my personal experience, but based on what I've seen here - CIC won't split an application once RQ has been issued. It's only possible to split pre-RQ.

Thanks scylla.

What dpenabill, PMM, screech339 and Leon would comment on the above question. Thanks.

Requested file splitting after the test and decision made for my wife & minor kid and mine scheduled for CJ hearing.. Not heard anything but call centre acknowledged that application for file splitting received and officers working on that. Will be almost 3 months after the test.

I am deeply saddened to see another male applicant getting treated harshly by CIC while his wife and dependents breeze thorough to citizenship with no questions asked. This have happened many many times in the past , myself included. I hoped that among the many policy changes and the overhaul of the whole immigration system these kind of cases will disappear too. Your case is an evidence to the contrary. Lets hope its just an exception and its not continuing the past trend.

Good luck.

Exports, thanks. Did your file splitting request show up on the ATIP report you've ordered recently??
