For those of you who lost their status while waiting for PR confirmation and had to restore it, how long after status restoration did you receive your

I applied at the end of August 2023, and my PGWP expired at the end of December 2023. Unfortunately, I did not apply for a BOWP, as I mistakenly believed I had implied status. By early January 2024, the eligibility, security, criminal, and medical verifications had been completed. However, a final decision couldn't be made because I was out of status.

In mid-February, I realized I needed to restore my status. I promptly applied for status restoration as a visitor and received approval within two weeks. However, it has now been almost a month since the restoration, and the most recent update, dated March 21st, indicates that IRCC is aware of my current status. They also noted that, due to the non-routine nature of my case, there are no specific processing times applicable.

P.S. I did continue to work while out status but stopped as soon as I found out I was out of status. I was still within my 90-day restoration period when I realized. I am obviously not able to work right now as I am on a visitor record, and currently living on savings which is not ideal.

1. I am just curious if there's anyone in this forum who had to restore their status while waiting for PR and if they can share their timeline?
2. Is there anything I can do from my side to get an idea of what the hold up is? I have already called, sent webforms and contacted IRCC via local MP.

Its under the PNP PR, I have the nomination cert but it wasn't on the list of required documents when submitting my application, so they refused it for not being there.

Was refused as I didn't upload my PNP nomination Cert as it wasn't on the list of documents needed on the submission page.

My application is for PNP non Express Entry. I have a nomination certificate, it wasnt requested when submitting my BOWP application though.

The rule is the more the better. You need to compile it with work experience section and mention on cover page. Before the COVID started IRCC used to just reject a file rather than giving an applicant a chance to explain as there were so many files (as told by an experienced professional) and this is what they have started again.

Such a stressful situation and I am in your shoes and share your pain!

My work permit expired on July 7th.
Applied for restoration on July 15th (via mail because there was no online option for me since I am a PGWP holder and Provincial Nominee for PR).
PR agent told me that they cant process my application because of my out of status.

@keysersoze I have a few questions if you do not mind:

1. how did you get your restoration so quickly?
2. Is your restoration status different than your previous status?
3. Can your PR application process when your status is restored as visitor or if you get a visitor visa?

@RyanKr - is there an update on your restoration application? Did you submit it on paper?

1- IRCC says they never received my application
2- Canada post accepted they lost my package

Yes, I am. I mailed out a new application right away but it is all over again and I waited for 2 months for nothing.

URGENT HELP NEEDED!
I applied for a work permit extension based on my Non-Express entry Provincial Nomination. Also i applied for PR based on that but now due to new rules my work permit extentsion has been refused. reason stated is

"You have not demonstrated that you are eligible to apply for an Open Work Permit under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. Due to the restrictions on employment in the Confirmation of Nomination, your employer must submit an Offer of Employment to the Minister using the electronic system made available by the Department for that purpose, and the employer must pay the employer compliance fee of $230.00, unless they are exempt from the fee requirement under subsection R303.1(5)."

How should i restore my status while waiting for my PR ?
