For spousal sponsorship, when to do medical exam?

I have an important question about the medical exam for the outland spousal sponsorship application.

1. Do I need to wait for the medical exam letter before going to the physician?
2. If I have to wait for the letter, from your experience do I have to do the medical within a certain timeframe (e.g. 30 days)?
3. If I don't haver to wait for the letter and can do it whenever, how do I do it? I mean how do I ensure the physician can link the medical exam to my spousal sponsorship file?

1. Yes.
2. Typically the letter says 30 days, IRCC seems reasonable/not strict about short delays esp if difficulty booking a time.

1. Yes
2. The letter will say 30 days, but if you need extra time. you can explain/inform IRCC about it.
3. If you haven't done any medical check for IRCC before/at all. Just wait for the letter
