Finally, we're here at Vancouver. Thanks God!

Sa NAIA immigration, medyo nahold lang kami ng ilan minuto, kasi nakawatchlist daw yun anak ko, for secondary inspector sya...tumawag pa ng ibang Immigration Officer. Noon pala, ang case lang, ay yun nireport ko na LOST PASSPORT. Medyo pinakaba kami ng konti. Delayed ng 2hrs ang flight from Phils to HK. Sa HK, on-time, kaya hindi kami naghintay ng matagal para sa connecting flight. Mas mura ng 16k kasi compared sa straight flight, so we took the advantage, para pandagdag sa pambili ng winter clothes. Too cold here brrr brrrr! Sa airport sa Vancouver, kukunin muna mga luggage then ilalagay sa Information area, saka pupunta sa pila ng New Immigrants/New Study/New work visa... IO asked, why we are here? answered back: my husband works here, and we wish to be together... am i going to work? maybe, if I can find one... the kids will go to school? yes. Then instructed us to sit and wait. About 30mins, permits were processed. Hindi ako nagdeclare ng mga foods, though may mga sweets akong dala like pastillas... May mga nabuksan na bagahe, esp yun mga nakabox, mainit ata sa mata yun. Sa HK pala, nasa handcarry ko pala yun blade ko para eyebrow...3x XRAY, then open...nakita nga yun. DInispose lang naman, no case. Kasi alam naman nila na nakasama sa makeup kit ko.

Hindi pa ako nakakaapply ng SSN, baka tomorrow. Busy pa si hubby sa work. Yun schooling ng kids, baka January pwede pa sila makahabol.

I remembered last time nawawalan k na ng pag-asa but now finally you're in CANADA ;D ;D ;D GOD is really GOOD kaya ako never akong mawawalan ng pag-asa, everything has a purpose kung bakit medyo delayed kmi ng konti..... may twins naman kaming hinihintay ni hubby at hopefully bago sila lumabas eh buo na kming family.... white christmas na yan sis ;D ;D ;D GOODLUCK sa new life.... GOD bless

Ate, tama lahat ng sinabi ni Ate Ynoweh. No need for COE lalo na kung wala ka naman talagang work experience. Ako din walang pinasang COE. Kahit highschool diploma, college diploma and TOR (yung iba kasi nag-woworry kung need pa mag-pass nito o hindi. Yung sakin kasi nabaha na, hihi! Pero kung meron naman kayo, why not submit it anyway? Diba nga mas maganda yung sobra kesa kulang. Ibabalik din naman yan sa inyo ng VO) And look, we're flying on Dec 12th na. Kaya wag ka mag-worry. Depende talaga lahat sa documents ng hubby mo. If you're confused and you have questions, don't hesitate to post it here kasi sobrang dami ng tutulong sa'yo dito. Goodluck sa application mo. ;D

Yes, ate. Papapick up din yan unless may instructions sa letter na pinadala nila. Tinanong ko na din yan before sa CEM. goodluck!

Hi! same case din sa hubby ko, nagwwork pa din sya before dun sa previous employer nya kahit na expired na WP and waiting na lang sya dun sa new employer nya.. pero yung ininclude ko sa application ko is yung kay new employer lang.. kasi baka pag nasilip na nagwwork pa din si hubby til now sa dating employer kahit na expired na WP nya, maging problem pa namin.. about sa payslips naman, hindi na din ako ngpass kasi nung nagpasa ako hindi pa ngsstart si hubby sa new employer nya.. basta meron akong cert of employment sa new employer nya stating his position and the amount of his salary..
About sa bank cert ni hubby, one day nya lang nakuha un sa RBC.. dapat din daw 2 wks un.. napakiusapan nya lang kasi yung manager siguro na sobrng kelangan namin so nakakuha sya agad...

Thanks, chel12! I'll follow your advise, tama ka, pagpinasa ko pa payslips nya, masisilip nga naman sya. Anyways, how's your condition na? Today ka babalik sa clinic diba? I do hope everything turns out well. Naalala ko lang yun friend ko, nung nagpa xray sya, may nakita sa lungs nya. Worried din sya nun so nagpatingin sya ulit sa ibang clinic and clear naman pala. She's in Singapore na now. I know medyo magkaiba yun case nyo, pero malay mo, sa 2nd check-up mo, clear naman pala lahat? Or if not, tama ka, at least it can be treated. I am really praying that everything will be alright for you, let's keep praying for one another here.

Hello sis! Sorry late ang reply ko.. May meeting kasi kami knina, 24/7 online ako sa forum pag wifi ang area kasi sinet up ko sa phone ko. Kaya kahit online, di ako makareply minsan.

Sis, yun case ni hubby mo ngayon "implied status"? I mean, nagapply ng new work permit for skilled category prior to the expiry of previous work permit under low skilled? Or out of status na kasi nagapply sya ng restoration...?

I think chel12 is right.. Better na di mo isama yun sa previous employer, pero make all those documents ready if ever irequest ng VO. Sa case kasi ni chel12, tested na kasi napadalhan na sya ng AoR/MR. Sa case ko din naman sis, puro sa new employer na docs ang sinubmit ko (contract, LMO, letter of explanation for non submission of WP), tapos inattached ko din yun existing WP nya pero valid pa until June 2012. Wag u alala sis, dba Christmas or before New Year pa ikaw magsubmit? By that time, hopefully may AoR/MR na me (fingers crossed) para macheck natin kung consistent ang mga VOs sa pagaassess ng SOWP applications. Iuupdate kita from time to time..

Hi Ynoweh, oks lang, girl. Nahihiya nga ako at lagi akong nagtatanong... Sa case kasi nang hubby ko, skilled worker na sya sa current employer nya. The thing is, di sya kaagad inapply for renewal kahit na since May pa lang, nireremind nya na yun HR nila about it. Wala daw kasi syang LMO kaya di sya marenew. When they applied for him, negative ang naging result. Sa frustration ng husband ko, tinanggap nya na yun job offer nang isang employer coz matagal na syang kinoconvince nun and also, may positive LMO na for him. So, last Oct, expired na WP nya from the current employer, yun new employer nya inapply na lang sya for restoration kasabay nang application for his new WP. I think, tama naman yun ginawa nila. I also checked other websites and forums and tama naman yun ginawa nila. So lumalabas, no status talaga sya but acc to their HR, pwede pa din daw sya mag-work coz nagaantay pa sila nang positive LMO nya. They have no idea na may new job na syang nagaantay. Hehehe!

And nakita ko naman ang logic nang suggestion ni chel12. I mean, bakit ko nga nman isusubmit pa ang pay slips nya when supposedly, no status na sya at expired na WP nya. Hay, ang slow ko! So thank you sa mga advise nyo! And my husband's actually worried, baka daw masilip sya kaya aantayin na lang namin yun new WP nya then that's the time we'll submit my SOWP application. And based sa CIC timelines, most probably, sa Dec 20, matatanggap na nya yun! Help me pray for it!

To help you out, in my case, I'll submit the following:

-Cover Letter
-COEs (in your case, wala naman, so no need for you)
-College Diploma
-TOR
-NSO certified Birth Certificate and Marriage Contract
-2 pictures (may guidelines sa link that I posted)
-passports (all my old ones and the current one)
-Scanned copies of spouse's Work Permit, LMO, 2010 T4, Bank Certificate, Employment Contract, passport (yun biodata page and the ones with stamps)
-completely filled out forms (again, nasa link yun forms that you need to fill out)
-Additional Proof that you are married such as pictures or videos, saved in a CD or hard copies na lang (some didn't pass this, some did - your discretion)
-the manager's check as embassy fee

I think that's about it. Let's wait for the others, baka I forgot something pa. Do you have kids ba? Kasi ako wala pa, e. So may mga additional reqs pa sila, yun iba na lang makakasagot nun...

I forgot pa pala, very important, ang NBI Clearance mo na updated at still valid. It can also help if may letter from your spouse na he/she can support you financially while you don't have a job in Canada pa.

Also, make sure valid pa nang at least 6 months and Work Permit nya before you apply.

Good luck! And just ask lang, so many people here can give you helpful tips na tried and tested na...

yung NBI clearance ko kasi mg expire nf feb 2012, and plan ko mag submit ng mga reqs by early january, do i need to get a new one? or ok n yun? yes po valid pa nmn work permit nya, thank you very much again
