Hello Kababayan! We need po your advice, currently my husband was already working here in Canada and we plan to apply for PR (via Express Entry). We have all the requirements except for the IELTS this Dec 5 palang siya mag tatake. Is it okay na isubmit na namin yung Express Entry profile namin in CIC or much better po na makapag take muna siya ng IELTS?

Thanks in advance mga kababayan!

Make sure you have the minimum required docs such as WES and IELTS prior to creating a profile.

I got my ITA 2 days from creating a profile.

Hello Kabayan, Have you checked whether you score 67 points or higher to qualify for Express Entry... Since you don't have a job offer and no adaptability factors, it's possible that you may not qualify.. two cents..

Hi JonesM,

Thank you for the reply. Dun s work experience, dapat ba sa isang work lang (isang NOC) ay maka 6 years pra makuha mu ung maximum points na 15? or accumulative ung total of working experience i.e. I got 5 years from 1 job + 3 years sa ibang job/noc?

Should I put 13 points kc sa isang job 5 years lng aku pero kung total of working experience i will get the maximum 15 points kc I have been working for the past 10 years?

Ito kasi ang magdetermine if I will make the 67 points or not.

Maybe try to delete the profile and start a new one? Baka may input error ka lang somewhere. Your primary/intended NOC also has to match your previous work experience.

maam, sorry hindi ko talaga kabisado bawat detalye... you can try get advise from Asivad Anac or to any senior forum members here. I am not so sure if you get total points only for the number of years you have spent on primary NOC alone or together with other previous skilled occupation listed in skill type O, A, or B.

Yes. If spouse has a language level CLB4+, you can get 5 more points for Adaptability. If not, she may be few points short.

also, may question po dun if you have previous CIC at EE application at kung anu ung UIC number ku, anu b dpat ilagay ku po? yes or no? kc wala nman aku uic # dhil ineligible ung 3x na EE ku, meron meron aku cic at ee kaso nag apply nga aku.

Hmm narating mo ba yung option na you have to enter your actual IELTS score, date of test, and test report form number? I don't know if the technical glitch still persists pero dati may complaints sa tanong na 'Has X taken an approved language test to assess their French skills?'... this seems to be a wording error (English instead of French) since the test options after choosing YES are IELTS and CELPIP only (both English exams).. If you answer NO, it never asks for other questions like date of tests, date of results, and your profile will be ineligible but on answering YES you can answer the details about your IELTS and profile is accepted.

UCI is unique client identifier. If you are applying for the first time, write NA or leave the space blank.

Again, I am no expert. :(

uu nakarating aku dun, enter ku ung ielts scores at result date nmen dalawa ni hubby. nilagay ku den pti ung wes ref#.

ung s uci nde ku sinagutan kc wla aku nun pero ung question n nakaapply nb aku s CIC at EE dpat Yes b llgay dun n sagot? kc pag ni yes ku sya i need to put uci# which is wala ku. kya NO nilagay ku pero iniisip ku bka masilip kc meron nman aku previous application s EE ineligible nga lng.

also, dun s education, aku lng kc nagpa-wes. do you think c hubby dpat pa-wes ku den? kc dun s question kung grad b c hubby, dpat b ilagay ku bachelor or ung 2 yr progrm lng na corresponding s canada?

sori dami queries naguluhan kc aku kung bket ineligible ung application ku eh abot nman ata aku s 67 points. at ung tool na eligibility nabigyan aku ng ref# dun at ung CRS nman i got 318 points mababa nga lng sya pero bket kyo nde pasado ung EE application ku :(

tnx po!

Spend some time in improving your English.
Learning French from 0 is a quite a long shot, as learning a new language is not a process you can just achieve easily within a short period of time. From my experience and my observation, I'd say 6 months to a year's intensive course before your level of French reaches the point where it can win you extra points (that is if you absorb the content of teaching well). So retaking IELTS definitely makes more sense.
Thanks for the reply! :) I've already reached the maximum 136 points for first official language, so retaking the IELTS exam won't help me I'm afraid. :( Trying to find some other way to improve my score. :)

Hi.
A year at least of foreign experience will help. Good luck.
Hello! :) I have more than 3 years foreign experience (this refers to my work experience in the Philippines right?). None in Canada. But seeing as my job requires certification, getting work experience in Canada is highly unlikely. Even my friends who are already there find it hard and tell me they may need to take some courses first.

---
I keep going through the CRS criteria and can't seem to find anything else I can do aside from working on a second official language and taking a Master's degree.

However, I see there is a criteria that indicates 128 points for "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years". (Mine is currently 120 points for "Bachelor's degree OR a three or more year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute".)

I'm a medical technologist and my educational credentials from WES was evaluated to be three years Bachelor's Canadian. If I take a certificate of some sort related to medical technology, I presume that will help right? Has anyone in the Philippines done that? A Bachelor's degree plus a certificate/diploma that is NOT a Master's degree? And this will have to be re-evaluated by WES right?

Then again, that would only give me an additional 8 points if ever. And I'm trying to get an additional 9 to reach 450 at least. Eep. ??? I might need that Master's degree after all... But it'll take 3 years and I can't. :'( Sigh...sana magka-ITA na ako, kahit 441 points. By the grace of God...
