By they way, natanggap ko na GCMS notes and some interesting insights:
* gumalaw application ko since AOR (Nov 17th)
* from CIC, na workload distribute ako to Ottawa on Nov 27 (yep, confirmed na!)
* na-clear ung R10 (Nov 26, bilis!) at R11.2 (Dec 8th)
* ni-transfer nila to SG VO on Dec 8 din (workload distribution)
* tinanggap ng SGVO on Dec 29... And eto ang simula ng pagtulog ng application ko

Maraming maraming sobrang daming salamat SGVO... 3 buwan naka-tengga application ko, baka gusto niyo pang bagalan pag process niyan, kulang pa haha

Naku ayaw ka paalisin dito! Hahaha

Kailangan ka pa daw nila kaya ganyan. Kami pinagtulukan na umalis kaya mabilis

Pero malapit na yan, nararamdaman ko na magbobook ka na ng tickets soon.

Nagbook na pala kami kahapon, stop over sa Tokyo ng 3hours. ANA tapos transfer sa Air Canada yan. Since may mga bata kami minabuti na namin hatiin ang flight, kasi 7 hours to Japan from here at 11 hours from Japan to Toronto para naman hindi superrr looong ang flight. Sana maayos naman ang Air Canada.

Initially kasi nag inquire ako sa ciip pinas kung may seasion ba sila sa Sg kasi wala sila office dito. Sabi nila mag register lang daw ako online at kokontakin ako ng ciip china to arrange an online session, which they did. So bukas dapat yung day1 namin tapos sa Friday ang one on one with an officer online din. Tapos kahapon nag email ulit ang ciip china saying magkakaron ng face to face sa May 24-26 sa SG, location not confirmed at kung gusto ko daw ba umattend. Sabi ko naman possible pero I would have to cancel yung isa na online kasi naman limited lang leaves ko. Wala pa reply so I'll wait til today to finalize. Email ko sya sis kung pwede ko forward invite sa iba for face to face sessions this May.

So basically, nagonline registration ka lang? Nag google ako at may basic online registration sila not sure lang if maaasign nga ako sa Singapore baka naman maschedule kasi sa iba. Pero thanks sa info! It will be a big help kung maka-attend na ng ganitong seminars before landing.

I just started my EE profile. I just received my ECA from WES. I was hoping for a 4 year course to be an equivalent. Unfortunately, a Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years) was only credited.

Is a 4 year bachelor degree here in the PH only a 2 year equivalent in canada? What was your experience? what was your equivalent?

While we were still studying, the education system in the Philippines had been 2 years shorter than that in Canada, which is why a 4-year bachelor's from the Philippines is usually granted a Canadian equivalency of a 2 year diploma. The Philippines only recently shifted to K to 12 a few years ago, to meet international standards.
However, bachelor's degree graduates of the top 4 or so Philippine schools can get a bachelor's degree Canadian equivalent. I've also seen though masters or professional degrees from various universities in the Philippines being recognized as such in Canada.

I received nomination from SINP on Mar 23, and the 600 points were added Mar 24 sa EE profile ko. Sayang nahuli ako ng 1 day sa previous draw. ;D Anyway, anticipating to have the ITA na for tomorrow's draw. Booked our meds na and doing the clearances na soon. Exciting na nakakakaba.

Hi starlet82! 5 years engineering ako from PUP Manila, my ECA is assessed as 3 years diploma course. Buti na lang same lang ang points for 3 yrs and Bachelor assessment.

Thanks bellaluna! Recently marami sila na-approve sa SINP from SG (including me) and India dahil tinanggap na nila ang Provident Funds bilang POF nung mga nakaraang linggo.

@prcand: Uy ang bilis ng GCMS notes mo, parang wala pang 1 month. So SGVO ka nga, ba't bigla lang naipit? May malaking pag-asa ka na makuha rin diyan soon...wala pa ring outland/Ottawa na napro-process ng November.

May results na ba application mo Iriscidiscent77? Eitherway, pa-update kami if tuloy talaga yang 24th to 26th May... kelangan talaga full day though? grabe, parang seminar lang LOL

Actually, nung na propose ung K to 12 concept sa pinas, si Canada agad naisip ko. kasi may mga kaibigan ako nung elementary at high school, tapos lumipat sa canada... napilitan mag retake ule ng years.

As for PH schools na credited ung bachelors degree, meron naman. taga peyups pala ako, credited ung akin as canadian equivalent of degree.

Nakita kona na CSB eh mababa talaga assessment nila, kahit DLSU-Dasma ganun din, but not yung main campus.
