in any case, sa October AOR thread. may naka PPR exactly 5 months after AOR with zero updates between AOR and PPR. kaya laking gulat niya. napansin ko rin ganito trend ng ibang VO office... kaya mahal na mahal ko MVO, ambilis! :p

(I mean compared dito sa bansang ating tinitirahan ngayon) and mababait daw talaga tao.

@bellaluna I heard about the traffic sa Toronto, kaya nagahahanap ako ng house near office, mga tipong walking distance. Kaso lang, since city area yung location ang mahal talaga! Parang 2 bedroom mga 1,400-1,600. Yung malalayo na basement meron mga 1000. Ang maganda lang dito sa tinitignan ko is apartment type sya or condo na may indoor parking so hindi na need mag shovel if may car ka (assuming masyado ;D).

maglo-lodge ako ng GCMS notes this week, para magka-alaman na sang VO ako haha. may nakita ako dati, 2 BR apartment sa SK $600 lang. tapos sa toronto kung 1.4k to 1.6k, mas mura pa kesa isang HDB flat dito. in a way, nakatipid ka pa :)

Ito nakalagay sa WES:

Academic transcripts issued by the institution(s) attended for post-secondary programs.

Silent sya haha ...

Reality Bites! ;D

Ilalagay nila sa sealed envelop tapos ako na amg magsesend... still thinking if its worth it... kun magagamit ba talaga cya sa job hunt.... hmmmm

parang may nabasa ata ako dati sa forum na strikto si WES when it comes to sealed envelopes from school. may stamp kasi pag naka-seal siya, so di ko sure kung pwede ikaw mismo magse-send. hintayin nalang siguro para play safe?

Depende JoyceM sa type of job siguro. What I know is ang kailangan nila is experience sa kahit anong Canadian based company. Tapos daw pag may experience ka na mas madaling lumipat. Ang queston na lang is if willing mag take ng odd jobs for the meantime.

Yung friend ko kasi, she was offered a job sa Tim Horton's when she landed. Wala ng interview start agad kasi she was recommended by her landlord, pero she declined the offer. Ended up after 2 weeks naka land naman sya ng work as Health Coordinator. Naisip nya, if she accepted the food crew position she will not have time to actually look for a job. So there... sana may makapag share dito ng mga experiences sa Canada, para lahat tayo prepared when we land there. Lalo na ngayon may economic slowdown talaga. :D

So pagkuha ng brother ko sealed sya and stamped. The courier company should be near your school. Hindi pwedeng ang school mo sa Manila tapos sa QC yung DHL company na papadalahan mo hehe... tapos sa airway bill or consignment note ang ilalagay mo is name nung registrar, school address and phone number. Ganyan ginawa ko me and my husband ok naman hehe. Important is hindi tampered yung envelope.

ung kamag-anak ko sa toronto, naging cashier muna. then eventually, nakapasok sa bangko. tapos ung isang kamag-anak ko, naging warehouse guy muna (as in taga-lipat ng boxes), pero ngayon supervisor na. ung isang prof sa UP Visayas, naging cashier din muna.

so i guess, pwede muna mag-allot ng 1 month to really find work na in-line sa skillsets habang naga-adapt to new environment. pag wala parin after 1 month, then perhaps consider odd-jobs para lang may income while waiting for work na in line with your career?

I'm totally OK with the odd jobs, I might actually plan additional studies also if/when I get there. Depends on your plans and goals, I guess. If you want money ASAP then you go for the odd jobs. But of course the best if I can find something in my line of work kahit super entry level lang.

Do not mind much the eligibility dahil laging in progress yan till the end. Yung BG check wala ring timeline kun when magbabago, may iba nga bumabalik sa not needed fron in progress eh. To get an idea or basis if ok lang yung progress ng app mo, check those threads with the same AOR dates, same category or check dito sa pinoy thread. The processing has a lot of factors so all we can do is wait, hope and pray talaga and jump for joy kun may updates or ghost emails... hehehe
Hehehe, oo nga JoyceM, wait and pray lang talaga. Too early parin naman ang file ko with Jan AOR. Puro lang basa ng thread. And always happy everytime may PPR especially if mga Pinoy ;)
Goodluck sa pag land mo soon... God bless you.
Hoping all of us will fulfill our Canadian dream :)

That's normal and MyCIC is not a 100% accurate indicator if there is progress in your application until you get PPR or your GCMS notes.

Thanks bellaluna :)
Goodluck to you... Always happy to see the progress of applications esp ng mga Pinoy... Hope to see your PPR post soon too :) God bless...
