Hello. I would like to ask some questions. Thank you in advance for entertaining me. My boyfriend has a sister in Canada and she would like to petition my boyfriend to immigrate in Canada. But next yr we're going to be married. Is it possible that i can migrate also in Canada if we get married here in the Philippines? Or i just let my husband to be to migrate by himself and get married after coming back to Philippines? I don't know what to think right now. Please help me enlighten. Thank you so much..

Unless his sister is unmarried AND no close relatives in Canada AND no parents anywhere AND no grandparents anywhere, she cannot sponsor him.

His sister is already married in Canada. Her husband is a Filipino also but already got a PR. They lived in Canada for almost 5 yrs now. So she wants to petition my boyfriend to migrate in Canada and live there. But we're going to be married next yr so do i need to ready my requirements also? Is it possible that her sister can petition as both? Thank you so much.

Why? :( really? why she's saying to my boyfriend that she's going to petition him to migrate in Canda?

I don't know why she is saying that. It's possible she does not understand Canadian immigration rules.

She does not meet the requirements to sponsor him. As already explained earlier, to qualify to sponsor him, she would need to be unmarried, have no children, have no family in Canada and both of her parents would have to be deceased. Since she has a husband, she cannot sponsor her brother for PR.

If your boyfriend wants to immigrate, he will have to qualify on his own through an economic immigration program like Express Entry.

Because she is not a lonely Canadian. She has a husband. She should read about immigration programs before promising your boyfriend anything.

If we apply Express entry, do we need to declare that we have a relatives in Canada? like my boyfriend, does he need to declare that he has a sister in Canada? thank you so much! :) <3

Thank you! :) Is it much easier to apply Express entry as married couple or single?
It's probably easier for you both if you marry and then apply.
