Dear friends,
Those who want to pursue further education in Canadian universities, please go through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and learn how to obtain student aid/scolarships/loan for ur education. This is for ON province, similar benefits are available for other provinces as well
https://osap.gov.on.ca/OSAPPortal
Please note that the deadline to apply for the programs (undergraduate/ graduate/ PhD- Part -time, full- time)in the Canadian universities is January 2011 for the fall term(Sept 2011 start), however admissions for some canadian universities are still open because the seats are not yet filled, and the admission process may be continued until all seats are filled upto Sept. first week. Those on the verge of getting their PR's soon, or planning to land soon or already landed can still avail this opportunity. The fees for PRs/canadian citizens is less than half as compared to international applicants.
Also note that IELTS is not required for many programs (mostly for the master's program). If you have completed ur undergraduate studies in English language, you have to provide a letter from ur university stating that, ur medium of instruction and exam was english, thats it- no IELTS.
Hope it helps many.
Regards,
SISH7255
