For anyone who has had interview.. How long after interview did you wait?

Hi there everyone. Merry Christmas

To all who have attended interviews, how long after did you hear any news?

My husband went to his interview nov 22. They didn't say yes or no to him and told him he would receive an email with the decision.

It's been over a month now with no email or additional requests. They kept his passport and all docs. He said the interview went well and he was only there for 20 minutes. My MP said there is a bring forward date on our file of feb 6,2014.

What do you think they're doing with our app? Security check? On ecas it states "application received" not even in process. Medicals received and date of interview.

I'm just nervous and wanted to hear other peoples timelines after interview.

Hi dear can alb

I know that your hubby has already done his interview last month. Looking at your timeline I can see only anxiety from your part.

Rome is processing applicants and expediting them fairly quick this year (an average of 6 months) mostly for those applicants who are visa exempt ie Italians, Greeks etc. Your hubby been from Albania a non visa exempt country his apps might take a bit longer but not too much. You are already in process since August and have already put the nasty part behind you so expect any day during January to hear positive news from Rome.

Take it easy and try to enjoy the season.

I know my file is still in the somewhat early stages, but to not hear anything for over a month from the interview is nerve wracking.

I'm just curious as to what stage the file is in. The medicals were received a long time ago and interview done over a month ago. They said to my husband that they have all necessary docs and have his passport and payment.

Is it just the background check they're waiting on? When do they start background checks?

I'm just hoping they don't refuse him after making us wait this long. Is it a good sign or bad sign we haven't heard?

I just wanted to see of anyone else has waited this long after the interview and if the outcome was positive or negative?

I had an interview 4 weeks now but still haven't heard anything. The officer said it went well and we should here something in about a month. So it should be here any day now. I have I say I'm getting more and more impatient.

I'm guessing they're waiting for the security check. Or have just put it aside until the bring forward date. I just really hope they wouldn't refuse him after a 20 minute interview and wait 2 months to let us know. So I'm hoping that it's a good sign the more time passes.

Yes I hope they let us know something soon. I think it's basically doing a security check and medical. I don't know their process but that seems to be taking quite a while. I'm always waiting and anticipating.

I had Interview on 10 December 2013 And I get Visa after Interview same day same time. VO Vienna

How did your interview go?

Based on what the officer said gave us the impression that it went well. It lasted about an hour, both my wife and I went at the same time. Lots of personal questions about the development of our relationship, engagement, wedding etc. The officer was very professional and polite which made the whole process a lot easier.

What's a bring bring forward date and has anyone heard from CIC lately post interview?

Bring forward date is a date they put on your file to pick it up again to review. Usually I think it's because they're waiting for something. If that something comes in before the bring forward date then I think they look at it then.

I emailed Rome office to ask the status of our file because we haven't heard anything for 2 months after the interview. They replied saying the file is under review with the visa officer and instructions/information will be sent in due course.

Have you heard anything else? Have you tried emailing. Sometimes it's successful.

Ok thanks. I haven't heard anything as yet from CIC either. My wife and I have decided to wait until the end of the week and perhaps send an email early next week.
