We got a letter from CIC in Nova Scotia on Dec 21st 09 to submit our documents to London CHC. This was done on Dec 23rd 09 (we went with an immigration Consultant in Canada to help us). Now we are waiting for our Medical request.

I am new to this forum. I had also sent my application for Initial Assessment under FSW in December's 1st week, from Punjab(INDIA).
I would like to know whether my file be accepted and I will be given file number.
As my qualification is M.Com and I was teaching in colleges for last 4 years on ad-hoc basis and now serving as a lecturer in a private university for last 2.5 years continuously. kindly give me some information for the acceptance of my case file.

U can ask about the status of ur DD from issuing agency/bank, they will definitely help u in this context

I was afraid as I had applied it and not got any information yet.
But now I am looking forward for my file number. Can anyone tell me how long it will take to get my file number? Is it be received by post or email? I have given my email-id in the application and sent my documents by post.
and please tell me how could i trace my application at Nova Scotia? I want to know as I have no status with me. I just want to know how people are saying"In Process" in their status..

Hello,
I guess you need to wait about 70 days from the date that Nova Scotia received your application, after about that period you will received AOR and you will be given a file number which by using it you can track your file number, but not before.
I am not sure if you will received it by email, but for sure by post.

It is best that you start collecting your full documents now as to aviod any delays, since when you receive your AOR you will be given 120 days to submit your full documents to CHC.

And good news everybody, November applicants have started receiving their AORs (at least one of them) so I expect we will start receiving them end of Feb.

If i ll look in to the data, then it says that u ll get ur Doc request in the month of March, it takes around 60-75 days for document request.

I have question about clearance and police certificate .. it has to be valid by submission to NS or it has to be valid when I'll send my full documents later.
note: I'm in Egypt and it valid just for three months.
