Hi Guys
I have question about clearance and police certificate .. it has to be valid by submission to NS or it has to be valid when I'll send my full documents later to local visa office.
note: I'm in Egypt and it valid just for three months.

I heard they accept the police certificate since the date of applying the application to sy Nova,so if u already applied to sy u can prepare one now....thx

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

but am not sure about 3 month period from NS application or Full document submission, probably it is 3 month from CIO, NS application.

Hi,

my PCC was dated August 19th,2008. i sent my initial app to CIO,NS on Oct 7th, they received on Oct 9th. but my app was returned back asking for more details on my job description and duties. app was returned on nov 25th. i sent my initial app back to CIO,NS on Dec 2nd, they received on Dec 4th.

if i calculate 3months from the date i apply for first time, my PCC holds good. but if i calculate from the second time i applied, my PCC is no more valid as it is older than 90days.
what should i do now?
please suggest

Probably they will ask for a new PCC, as ur last application has been cancelled automatically , so they will just count the dates from 2nd re application.

It should be 3 month from date of application submission at NS

as per EG7

You may begin to gather your police certificates before submitting your application to the CIO. Although you will not submit the police certificate to the CIO, you must be ready to submit them to a visa office if your application is recommended for further assessment at a Canadian visa office. When you submit the application to the visa office please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months before you submitted your application to the CIO.

But I think I have to clarify something, maybe I did not say it clear. here in Egypt the police certificate is valid for three months then it is expired.
So, I got police certificate in 1 December 2009, and I submitted my application at NS in 15 December 2009.
my police certificate will expire in 29 February 2010. So if they send me my AOR after 29 February 2010. I have to get a new police certificate or the old one will be Ok ? I hope I can explain my situation clearly

Hi to all of you,
I would like to ask about a news , one of my colleague (who had got his medicals done this week) has told me that Canada government is going to change the rules of PR processing from this February. According to him, the processing time is going to increase. I want to know if there is any such news? And one more thing , I have not sent any document to the NS for initial application, Can they accept mine? As I was reading forum, I came to know that some people had re-applied after getting rejection from NS on the grounds that their job responsibilities did not match. If now-a-days we have to send only application, nothing else then how could they be refused?
if there is anyone who can guide me?

Hello everybody,
I am collecting my full documents, but I have a question hoping that somebody can help me.
Regarding translation of some of the documents, should the translation be from a certified translating office for the Canadian embassy or any translation office would be sufficient?
I am from Jordan and I have to send my documents to Syria Visa Office, so if the documents should be done by a certified translator, how would I know which translators here in Jordan are certified for the embassy in Syria?

I am asking because when I went to translate my documents, the translator offered two options:
1- Translate the document with the signature and stamp of the translating office.
2- Translate the document with the signature and stamp of the translating office and have it notarized from the justice court then notarize it by the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The second option is 4 times more expensive than the first option and it will cost me a lot, so should I pay lots of money to make sure everything is perfect or should I save the money specially if this is not required.

Please advice.

Anybody with experience in this same situation would help a lot.

As i know ' they consider notarized copies of translation', so my advice is to get it translated from translation agency and then get it countersigned by NOTARY PUBLIC. CHC will consider it.

still its too early, they are processing Nov. applicants at the moment, I guess in 2 to 3 weeks they will start with Dec. applicants and we can start seeing updates on our thread.
