Good day! Anyone who can help me, my work permit is food and beverage server and i applied for a caregiver job. My prospected employer already have lmo for live in caregiver but it is under a different name, the lady that was suppose to be hired was terminated and send back to phils. Is there any chance to use the old lmo that is still valid to my name . Thank you.. What are the requirments from my side. Thank you

I heard already that some tfw's are looking for possibilities of shifting their program from TFW to LCP. By impression of using someone's LMO already named and yet still valid, I may say it will not qualify simply I think the LMO was issued before moratorium and maybe on the old fee of 275.00 aside from it is already used by the person who has name on it. And if under the new fee of $1000. if we will read how is the LMO issued is per application for every position on an un named basis. In the case of LCP; it is usually named because hiring of live in caregiver is mostly single position. I hope I am wrong...

About requirements of LCP; this is considered skilled that requires acceptable 6mos. certified training on caregiving and/or two years employed caregiving. If applying as nanny must have at least two years nanny job and for elderly must have caregiving job for elderly of the same length of years experience. The educational qualification must be equivalent to Grade 12 as secondary school diploma in the Canadian education level. It will also require to undergo new medical certification simply an applicant will handle chilldren and elderly susceptible for any would be exposures. I hope I help...

For a better view, explore the LCP program of Canada...anyone who can give website about LCP?

To be safe you apply if you belong to a country that requires a u.s. visa. The moment you step out of Canadian soil and crossing the border; definitely you will undergo passport verification/identification. As what I heard some true blue Canadian don't cross border due to they have not applied yet for a passport or does not have passport.

can a temporary foreign worker allowed to apply for a us visa?
Yes. Just support your application with bank statement fir proof if funds for the purpose of your travel, letter from your employer stating that you will still be working with them after your intended travel.

Hi everyone. I cam here as food counter attendant and shifyed to the LCP. You don't need a US visa to cross the border bexause.you will only go there for 'flagpooling' as what they call it. Unless you were asked for interview in new york then that's the time you need a us visa but for just crossing the border you dont need it..if you need help just give me a personal message and i'll help you understand the process. You also need to have documents or certificates that would convince the immigration officer that you are qualified position. Godbleds everyone.
