Friends,
I hope you go across this thread so you won't have to lose precious time awaiting PR cards.
I arrived Canada on Feb 2015 and completed landing procedures with Immigration officer at an International Airport.
The officer was very kind and spent a great deal of time on following up with CoPR and other items.
We went through the current mailing address in Canada to make sure that my PR cards reach me on timely manner.
Here is where the fk up happened.
I have been awaiting my cards for a little more than a month now. However, the recent PR processing times suggest that the time taken for New permanent residents is 22 days (Source: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp)
I called up CIC after consulting with Goku (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/profiles/Goku-u490347.html) and knew about the hold up. The cards were ready to be sent out but...
!!!THEY DID NOT HAVE MY CURRENT CANADIAN ADDRESS IN THEIR SYSTEM!!!
So, guys, always make sure that you check your e-CAS and call CIC if you see any discrepancy.
Just wanted to share this with you all.
Happy processing.
