Hi everyone,

I am a first year student in Quebec. While I have quite a few years of experience, I cannot apply for the CSQ because I am not halfway done. But I had an express entry profile completed earlier and I just received a Provincial Interest Letter from Ontario. I know I probably should ignore but I was wondering if anybody has been in my situation before....so I'm just laying it out here.

Any comments?

If you decide to take it, you'll need to prove your ties are stronger in ON than Quebec, like if you have relatives, friends, a lease, or job offer there. Right now, studies in Quebec would be a disadvantage for Ontario nomination.

Someone already got rejected by OINP for having stronger ties in the US than ON.

I have a similar situation. I did my masters in ON, started my phd in ON, but my supervisor relocated to BC and took me with him. So now I live in BC and have 2-3 years to go in my PHD. I got Ontario Interest Letter.

Should I accept it? I do have lots of friends in Ontario.
