Dear Friends

We have recently received our Canadian PR Visa and planning for our first entry during the month of April.

Please advise:

1) If we can carry food stuffs like : Noodles, juice etc?

2) What about the vaccination papers which was sent along the Visa? Do I need to translate them and get it attested by a doctor for visit time visit or its only required for School admission?

Thanks
Rinlee

When you bring in food, you MUST declare it to customs upon arrival using the declaration card which will be given to you by the airlines. Or you can also pick one up at the airport before heading to be checked by an immigration officer. If you do not declare any food in your luggage and if customs checks your bags and finds the food or food material, there are heavy fines to be paid.
I don't mean to scare you but if you are arriving in Canada for first time, play it safe.
