Is it normal/routine to get a request to submit fingerprints for a citizenship application? "there are questions in regard to sect.21/22"?

does that mean the file will go through some extra processing? there is no criminal record AFAIK.

Yes select few do get FP request.

you mean it's normal, or "select few" means that it'll now be processed as non-routine?

It's normal and many who do FP don't face any processing delay. But if it's goes for Security screening which can take up to an year to complete then you need to wait. FP results in your application being marked as non routine too.

btw did anyone submit fingerprints in Toronto in an accredited agency? how did the process go, and how quickly did ircc receive the results? were you given the results as well? how did you find out when rcmp received the results and when immigration received them?

I did submit my fingerprints in downtown Toronto in July. It takes around 20+ days to show up on IRCC site. Process is simple and straightforward that takes less than 10 mins. Accredited agency job is to collect and forward fingerprints to RCMP. They don't know and can't access results. It is directly sent to IRCC.

Hello i did my fingerprints October 2024 with rcmp i receive fingerprint request with ircc for my citizenship application should i send my previous fingerprint result or i have take new fingerprint for the citizenship application.

Wait for the email as it will have the detail needed to send FP for your citizenship application. Old one won't work.
