Heard they are are authorized RCMP outside Canada . Still you can send the FP request done outside Canada based on the country you are located .

It was advised to send FP request only when you get from IRCC.
Do we need to send the paper we receive in the mail that has pic and say observations to cic or it process automatically ?

I am not sure Garry, I am not aware of the Paper as I haven't received the Paper yet.
I am also waiting for the FP request in case they send to me. I am not sure on what basis they are sending

The paper we receive like in PR when we do fingerprinting for police clearance and in that we send that document to cic via webform. Is it the same fingerprinting and same sending procedure i wonder ?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
14 Sep - I gave my fingerprints to the Commissionaires office in Vancouver
14 Sep - RCMP received my digital fingerprints
21 Sep - RCMP finished their work and sent the details to IRCC
21-Sep - till date - IRCC officer has not updated any kind of details

I also called IRCC again today and the lady over the phone told me that she still doesn't see any information on my file, she said everything is slow and she has observed some FP's statuses taking 2 months to be updated by Officers. She mentioned she will add a note on my file that I have done everything requested and it is a matter of who is working on the file to update it. She said at this point in time I cannot do much but just wait.

At least I have closed all the loops now, I have a written reply from RCMP now that details when they sent the details to IRCC so hopefully I have a strong case if in case IRCC suddenly wakes up and asks me why I didn't do my fingerprints on time
Quick question, how much did you pay for the finger print at Commissionaires office and were you able to get the appointment quickly?

I want to go outside Canada for long time. Is it better to get fingerprint RCMP before if they request in future or what’s the best option in this case?
I think it's OK to leave but make sure you have someone look for your mailbox, as I mentioned earlier all my correspondence with IRCC is via email but I received my fingerprint request in a physical letter which was a bit surprising.

I don't remember the cost but the appointments were quite easy to get, they have an online appointment scheduler, I think I got an appointment within 3-4 days

The procedure is pretty straight forward, once you receive a letter you can go to authorized facilities who are providing fingerprinting service, I think IRCC has a list of authorized facilities that is how I found the commissionaires office in Vancouver, the fingerprints are digital and are directly sent to RCMP who then run your background check, RCMP directly sends the information to IRCC Sydney office, Nova Scotia. Once IRCC receive they might take their own sweet time before they update it on the system.

Finally, a confirmation that they received my fingerprints, what is surprising is that they are stating that they received my fingerprints today 27th October which is 5 weeks after RCMP sent them the details, so to summarize the thread I would advise everyone who has things pending to follow up till you get confirmation.
Hi, may I ask you what was the confirmation, I mean, was it e-mail, or update in your online account, or you just called them?
Thank you in advance

I had to call RCMP office and then I called IRCC and the agent confirmed they received it but it was after few weeks, sorry it has been a year, my memory of the process is a bit hazy now.
