You are funny. I still think on this website people like you are on someones payroll to talk this crap. Facts are facts. Canadian Immigration became big business and the 3m skilled immigrants doing menial jobs know it. People like me work hard - on projects outside this country. You can't 'work' hard here if you are not even given the change to do it locally. No hard feelings though - its still a beautiful country to have as a base for international business!
Why should I be paid for saying the damn plain, real fact?! A lot more on this forum still believe in the Canadian dream than some of you.

What I wrote above is no crap except to people like you, it's a fact that the Canadian govt set very high standards that's just it! You prove your worth if you have what it takes other than just running back to where you come from or complaining unnecessarily about the shortcomings of the Canadian employment system.

It's not easy anywhere in the world including Canada. Canada is no heaven mind you. Did you get to where you are right now in your home country in less than a year? NO! I guess not... You have to work your way up by dedicating multiple years with hard-work and lots of sweat right even in your home country where you have sacrificed so many years to.

Don't discourage people who are interested in immigrating but knows very little about the whole employment system as it works in Canada. Your experience and your addition here on this thread is for you and your ilk!

Where I got my facts? I have a lot of people(family and friends) living across Canada(from Toronto to Ontario; Manitoba; Montreal; Calgary, Edmonton et al and even some even migrating permanently from the USA) and they are all doing great despite starting from scratch. They share their experiences with me often in words-spoken and I can say categorically again that it's not as you say it is.

No hard feelings too bro, your contribution doesn't just go down well with me and we need to paint people the real scenario as it is.

Ciao!

Ha Ha! Surely you are getting paid? No? You talk crap for fun? Its big business in a country where immigrants buy a big chuck of the new cars and houses. The 'skilled' visa is a joke - clearly Canada don't need 3m doctors, engineers, etc. to work in Tim Hortons', drive cabs, etc? its clear they just don't know how to stop destroying lives - as it may lead to recession with all this 'new money gone'? 'Only country in the world that does this to so many great minds. I also think people coming here needs to find out the truth - so I must post this, surely? Millions of us are fooled by Canada and uproot ourselves for a 'Dream' that does not exist. We have a RIGHT to feel this way and warn others against this bullshit. Enjoy your day.

Well, we have both made our points and we should wish for the best in whatever dreams we want to pursue...

Opinion is cheap anyway but I don't talk crap and not getting paid; that's just the way I felt about the Canada PR program and it's gonna work for me as I have seen and heard success through it!

All the best!

Wait until I pick up myself from laughing so hard.

Let someone spend half of their life working hard in their country... then spend the rest of their life working harder in Canada to prove themselves. Well, only stupid do that. The smart ones take shortcuts.

Just the other day I was reading a post from someone on this very forum about getting their Canadian PR, except now they are working in Saudi (or some other place in ME) making big bucks and the PR they just received it probably going to the shredder. Well, good on you I say. If you spend years waiting for PR on a promise of getting a job cleaning toilets instead of looking for other options (and there are plenty in this world) the you deserve what you get in Canada (which is nothing). Canada should be only considered as a last resort.

Whatever you like or believe in you can say but you can't force your belief on the majority. The majority of potential Canada PR or those that already are still strongly believe in their Canada dreams and they work hard to accomplish it...

Whatever you wish for shall be yours and dreams are different across all platforms but be careful what you wish for

Hi,

I feel, Feedback shared by Mr. Daniel1000 is discouraging to majority of the immigration aspirants. I do understand that Mr. Daniel1000 did not get the kind of opportunity that he expected but that does not make immigrating to Canada bad option for everyone.

There are other major reasons besides getting the quality of job because of which people want to migrate to Canada. I am hereby listing some important reasons because of which people from third world & developing countries want to immigrate to Canada -

1. Lack of Governance - Many countries in Third world & developing world do not have good governance or rather they have no governance at all. There is very less security & stability in these countries. Terrorism is a common epidemic in these countries.

2. Dismal or Zero Economic Growth - This results in very low or dismal productivity in those countries which results in high unemployment rates.

3. Canada is very productive - Canada in way more productive than these countries. Working in Canada even with a menial job is more productive for an immigrant than doing white collar job in his respective country.

4. Canada is almost free from corruption - Most of the world suffers from massive corruption. Corruption makes life of a common man very hard. I am sure that Canada has very little corruption in comparison to these countries.

5. Canada offer Great Quality of life - Canada offers a great of quality of living for even a common person. Most of the countries can not match these standards of living.

Summing up all these reasons, it gives a very good reason for a person living in these countries to move to Canada.

Thanks.

Hello guys,

All I can say is WOW alot of positive but more negative posts then positive.

Firstly I would like to say is if anyone is reading these post please ignore all the negative ones as everyone is different you can't " knock it until you try it" as one person might immigrate to Canada and land a decent job or even a dream job but then that bad apple might immigrate to Canada expecting to find a dream job in a matter of months and have no luck.

I'm also gonna be a new immigrate in Canada as me and my wife have both given in our notices and will be moving to Toronto in the next 2 months. I might be a lucky one or I might not be who knows I'm my own person and I will work 10x harder as I did in the Uk then I will be in Canada. They say its all about networking so while I've been planning my move I've been networking with companies on LinkedIn and even attended the Canadalive show to network with a few recruiters which I got positive feedback from but until I sign a contract it means nothing.

Alot of my wifes family works in the IT which is the field I'm in now 1 is CEO at Rogers, another is Acting Manager for Fujitsu and another works in York University etc. Yes they tell me once I land there they will sort me out but until I sign a contract it means "Nothing".

Guys please please please network with as much Canadians as possible before you move I've even emailed companies directly seeking advice not asking for a "Job" You be surprised how much replies you will get as they seem very helpful in helping you out then telling you that they have a job. I even got a positive reply from the LCBO Board and have had constant conversations with the Manager. Guys don't bother applying for jobs if your not already in the country just email the companies and recruiters directly seeking advice use them as your links and networks.

Everyone has a chance to make it even if you want to work for Moxie's email them directly; example "Dear Sir/Madam I will be relocating to Canada from the UK. I have attached my resume to this email. I have read a lot of really good job adverts you have had in the past few months. I would really appreciate any tips or advice which can help with my career move to Toronto" Thats just a example on emailing companies directly.

In my experience doing this I've had 95% replies from major companies even school boards with positive replies, but what I have noticed is that recruiters RARELY reply like 1/10 will reply as they only care about if your already living in the country etc as they get paid by commission and them giving you advice or information does not benefit them so be prepared to be ignored by most of them.

I really do hope I land my dream job my wife is already on the TDSB board for teaching and I will be making this job hunt my fall time thing.

My last bit of advice is you need CHARISMA and I mean like even recruiters like to see people full of energy, keep smiling heads up come across confident direct eye contact and everyone likes a laugh. If your naturally a peoples person you will know what I mean as random people will just approach you without even knowing you because they get that positive aura from you....

But if your that bad apple they will spot that from a mile away, professionals can easily spot that as even the way you stand not alone if your smiling but how you come across is a MUST. If anyone is getting doubts about the above post Don't you are your own person no one makes you as you make yourself. Keep your head up and stay focused I do hope we all make it and find what we dream to have.

And I really dislike it when people state the point "Where immigrants" Know the history in Canada before you move there as every single person living in Canada is a "Immigrant" Not like the UK where as the white British is considered a resident and not a immigrant but a white Canadian is considered a Immigrant.

If you feel that I'm talking rubbish then I do apologize and you can totally ignore my post. But if you feel this has motivated you I'm happy it did as I only see good things about Canada and think everyone has a chance to start a good job if they give it 100%.

If anyone in here gets lucky and has a story to tell please say as I know 1000's of people read these post but never reply like myself until I sadly saw people getting demotivated by the negative posts.

If I land a nice job I will be more then happy to share my experience and if I could help someone who is helping themselves find a job I will be more then happy to as its all about "Networking".
