Can my wife, who is a Canadian citizen, applies for spouse sponsorship program to help me to obtain my PR? She doesn't have an income, but I have a good income as I have a study permit and I am doing my PhD in Quebec where I get payed through a scholarship program. We live together in Quebec. Recently we have a new born child, who is born in Canada, and that will make it difficult for her to find a job now.

Congratulations on your baby. I would provide them with proof of your income and explain why your wife is not working . Plus how you intend on continuing supporting your family. My hubby's income is on the lower side so we supplied them with my financial records too. Everything helps .
