i would like to know the total amount needed to show on my bank statements for husband, wife child application and and my tuition for 2 yrs is 48000CAD

Also if i put 60000cad on my application do i need to show that exact amount on my statements ...if i prove i have more would that be a problem??

The minimum requirement is tuition plus CAD 10,000 for the primary applicant and CAD 4,000 for every dependent per year.

If you’re applying via SDS, you need to have paid first year’s tuition, GIC of 10k and the remaining 8k in bank balances (or alternatively, a GIC of 18k). For non-SDS, financial documents are scrutinized more heavily so I suggest showing full tuition and living expenses (48 + 20 + 8 + 8 = 84k).
