The guideline I believe is 28 days before your program starts but some people claim to have been allowed to enter earlier while some have been denied entry and told to come back closer to their start date.

Ultimately the decision to admit is the university’s so there’s really nothing you can do. You can try to sue if you want but I highly doubt a lawsuit like this will prosper.

I don’t know what kind of help you expect from anyone here but only the IRCC can resolve this issue for you.

You have to list it. Misrepresenting any information to IRCC can get you a five-year ban and this information will be shared with other countries, making it hard for you to apply there as well.

When did you apply? Average processing time is currently 13 weeks (with some applications, including mine, taking 20 weeks) so if you’ve been waiting less than that, there’s nothing to do but wait. No need to worry yet.

Sorry to hear this. Ideally you'd request for GCMS and reapply after but that might not be feasible for Jan intake given the loooooong processing times for family applications. Are you open to deferring to May/September? If so, that might be a better option.
