My landing experience was very smooth and quick, every thing completed in 20-35 mins. I did flag-polling. I walked over the rainbow bridge to US border, where a US immigration officer greeted me, following is the conversation
USCBF Officer: What is Your nationality?
Me: XYZ, I am here to complete my PR landing process for Canada, what are my options.
He went through my passport.
USCBF Officer: would you like to visit US, I think I can arrange US entry for you?
Me: My friends are on Canadian side, if you allow me still I will not spend more than 5-10 mins in US.
USCBF Officer: Then I will authorize you a visa, have a seat, I will arrange a document which you will need to complete your landing process.
Me: Ok
after 5 mins, I was called by the same officer, who handed me a printed paper- which said I am refused to enter in USA - and told me that I am ok to go.
Me:Will this refusal have any impact on my US visa applications in future?
USCBF: We will not keep a record of this and you don't need to mention it on your future US or other countries visa application
I started walking towards Canadian side in 5 minutes I was back to my initial journey point.
Canadian Border:
there were two Border force officers, who nicely greeted me and asked me reason of my visit same answer landing. He filled a yellow form which was in front of him with my answers to following questions
1. how much cash you are carrying? 2. Any good to follow 3. Any vehicle
After completing the form he gave me carbon copy and asked me to visit immigration next room. On my entry to immigration office, I was again greeted my an immigration officer. He again asked me the reason gave him same answer. He asked me for POF, I gave him my back home bank statement, I don't think he looked at the figure. I informed him am working in Canada, I have my pay stubs and Canadian bank account statement with me. I try to pass these docs to him but he said he is fine with the first POF.
He asked me to take a seat in waiting area which was just in front of immigration counter. Again in less then 5 mins, he called me and asked me to sign at couple of places and when my dependent are expected to arrive, he reminded me that they are require to land before 09/05/2012.
After I signed, he informed me greeted me "Congratulation: You are now a landed Canadian permanent resident and my PR card will arrive in 4-6 weeks, I can change my SIN and health cards, and apply for other docs with CPR attached to my passport and lastly Welcome to Canada
That's it.
