FINAL CHECKLIST plz advice is this enough to apply for student visa, from pak??

ill really appreciate if some one senior could have a look on checklist with my student visa application and let me know if anything is missing out of it. many thanks in advance.


1. Cover letter (explaining every document, purpose tec...)
2. Checklist form (IMM 5483)
3. Application form filled and signed
4. Supplementary Information form filled and signed
5. Confirmed offer of acceptance from institute in Canada. (ORIGINAL and 1 copy)
6. Proof of first installemnt fee paid to the institute. (Receipt from Sheridan PLUS the bank draft copy of fee sent to Sheridan)
7. Letter from the landlord confirming the accommodation and rent paid for the first month rest of the rent will be shown in my bank banlace sheet.
8. Proof of sufficient funds available in personal account's in terms of last 6 months bank statement. about 25000CAD$, (Half fee and first month rent paid, rent is 500CAD$ per month and total tution fee is abt 23,500CAD$)
9. Letter from the bank manager, stating from how long I'm maintaining the account.
10. All previous ORIGINAL educational documents.
11. Proof of your English language ability (IELTS results) (ORIGINAL)
12. Letter from my employer, stating my (Name, salary, date of joining and designation)
13. Passport (ORIGINAL and 1 copy)
14. Copy of National Identity Card. AND a Certified Translation in English)
15. Application processing fee paid in bank (Green receipt from standard chartered)
16. Six-6 recent photos, mentioning the Full name and Date of birth on one photo.
17. Police clearance certificate.

Najam,

I feel you have a nice packaging

But you can still find something around you as ties to home country and add it to your package. Something that can prove that you can reasonably fall back to your country if you decide to come back to your home country after graduation, or has possibility of always bringing back to your country to check up on.

These could be immediate family, or aged parents to look after, letter from employer stating that they are aware of your study and that your job is still available after the study (sort of study leave letter with or without pay), landed property or such in your name or transfered as family inheritance, any business or investment tie(s) in your country.

Any of these can help, I guess such with what you have on ground makes issuing the visa irresistible or else God does not want you there now.

This is my view, but check out for the gurus in the Forum err their feelings

Dear Danny thanks,
bro im from pakistan. and applying for visa next week.
yes i have mentioned about my parents, as im also married with 2 kids (2.5 years and 7 months baby) and have a younger brother aswell we all live together in a same house but these are the only ties i have mentioned in the cover letter. rest bro i cannot tell my employer before i have my visa, but i have a letter from the employer stating my name , designition, salary etc BUT not that they are aware of my visa application process and will grant me leave so plz guide would be this an issue or the letter i have from is not Enough???? plz guide. or any guru or senior could help on this.

Hello Najam,

That is okay is you feel that your employer would not easily oblige to give you such a letter (although it would have been an additional point, but you must not always have all the points, but sufficient points to give you what you need - the study visa)
If your immediate family (nuclear) is staying back, then that is a very strong tie to your home country
Provide pictures of your family (nuclear and extended) as relatives you are leaving behind. I would advise having the two sets of pictures different (ie nuclear different, then extended with nuclear different or extended alone)
Each of the pictures should have you unmistakably identified.
Then, the birth certificates of your immediate family should go along too, class all these as your family tie in your cover letter

Thanks danny,
But what if i just show the pics of my imediate's that are my wife, and 2 kids along there b.certificates. as i have a group photo with them and can also show my wedding pics too. would be any issue or will the visa officer ask abt the parents and brother pics, bcz i think i wont be able to get there b.certificates. Plz advise.

No wahala Njam
Your immediate family is your strongest tie
Once you have the evidence of your legal tie with them, your family tie to home country is established
The extended family would just be to buttress it, not so necessary
So just go ahead with what you have on ground
I feel the checklist you have is fine, as I said earlier

Dear Danny, youve made me feel strong and safe in ur every reply but dear, i could not get ur point this time. just tell me should i show my wife and 2 kids b.cert and pics. AND Only mention the names of my father, mother and younger brother???? would be tha OK dear????? would this show my strong ties in pakistan????waiting for ur reply.

Just wife and two kids birth certs and pictures would do, include marriage certificate and wedding pix too
