Filling out the forms - but no english skills

Hey you guys,

How do we go about filling out the forms (for instance the ones the person being sponsored has to fill out) if he or she doesn't speak or write English all that much? Am I allowed to help my spouse with that?

Same about the interview - would English, or should I say, its absense be a problem?

Please share if you had any experience with that.

Yes you can help your spouse fill out the forms. As for interview I think you can request a translator.

Also note that if the applicant cannot speak English, the visa officer is going to wonder how you two communicate. Lack of a common language has been used as a reason to believe the relationship is not genuine. So if you know her language, or you both know some other, make sure to include this info in the application.

I am bilingual, so that's not an issue

but thanks for the tip - as far as I know spouse sponsorship forms have a question - "what language do you normally speak?" right?
