JigJig, I saw your timeline. Pareho tayo, PPR was received on December 7. Naku, sana naman we get our visa na this month. :)

As for the SSS lumpsum, I don't think you can get it unless your retirable age na, which is 60-65, I think. If you have Pag-ibig contributions, you can get the Provident Fund. Nabasa ko yun sa isang post dito. Hope this helps.

VM
Hi VM!! Salamat po sa reply. kukunin nyo po ba yung contrib nyo sa PAGIBIG? Sa tingin nyo po ba this month dadating? :-X ??? :o ;D natutuwa na kinakahaban kasi ako, wala pa kasi ako na iimpake hhahahahaahaha busy kasi sa work. Today palang ako bibili ng dadalin ko if ever ;)

Hello Everybody! Happy New Year! Im new in this forum and I have constantly been reading the thread and thought I'd join. I am in Canada under a work permit, I submitted complete docs and was received by Manila VO 11/15/10 - I have received an acknowledgement of receipt (2nd AOR) 12/28/10- (answered prayer!) and it mentioned a timeline of 6 to 12 months processing. From reading the thread it looks like most of the applicants are expecting a response within 3 months, so I am just wondering if this is just because I applied under FSW Category 3? or did everybody get the same timeline as 6-12 months? I am just worried as my work permit will expire by April 2011 and if that is the case looks like I am cutting it too short. any advice? I did not have my employer process another LMO/WP for me as I was expecting my application to be approved some time Apr-July 2011. If I leave the country before getting approval will this affect my application? If I would no longer be employed by a Canadian employer will this also affect my application? or is there an option where as long as an application is being processed, one could exit and re-enter the country? I am really sorry if I am asking too much, I would really appreciate getting thoughts from people I share the same journey with, so feel free to share your thoughts and the options you might know of to help me get thru this dilemma. thanks everybody! appreciate it!

M2canada and carl...wala pa din yung sa akin,, gusto ko ngang ifollow up pero sabi naman ng agency ko tingnan ko daw kung PPR email ko kung ilang days sinabi na ibabalik yung pp with visa,, yun daw ang mga nakalagay na "We will make our best efforts to have your passport(s) returned to you with your visa(s) within 60 days from their receipt at the Embassy e dumating na ang mga visa,, yung sa akin kasi within 90 days ang sabi kaya wag :) :)muna daw mainep

Sa inyo ba 90 days din ang binigay?

Andito po kami sa Abu Dhabi and we got the visa for the whole family. Since andiyan sa pinas ang mga anak namin balak namin uuwi kami sa Pinas at diyan aalis going to Canada.

Tanong ko lang po kung paano ang gagawin sa POF, how much in cash and the rest kung ano ang preferred notes, eg. Bank Draft, Travellers Cheque or bank statement is enough? Wala po kaming idea tungkol dito.

And lastly, san po pinakamaganda or pinakamadaling magpapalit ng Peso to Cad$?

Baka puwede din po magsuggest kung anong airlines or travel agency puwede magpabook ng flight. Hope i'm not asking too much :)

Maraming salamat and Happy new year to all!
