hi everyone! marerefuse ba application mo pag pareho kayo ng spouse mo na unemployed? pero yong principal applicant ay may enough professional experience?pls help. kakagaling lang kasi namin from a 5 month vacation sa US kaya we had to quit our jobs.and we are afraid that being jobless might be a ground for refusal.

Police Clearance will be submitted in later stage, I think the same time when they required medical. You do not need to send Police clearance in Your initial application, as per the CIC website.

Also, if you live more than 6 months or more in other country, they will require police clearance too, from your age of 18 onwards.

pfcastelo,

I am also in the process of gathering my required documents to be submitted to Canada Embassy in Manila. I have some questions for you and to everyone. I am confused with the latest Checklist (IMM 7025 E) particularly in list #13 POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES. If you can observe there are columns for "F" (Federal Skilled Worker), "P" (Provincial Nominee), and "Q" (Quebec -Selected Applicant). Every list of item there is corresponding checkbox aligned to the F,P & Q categories. But I am wandering why there is no checkbox in list #13 aligned to category F. Does this mean that Police Clearance is no longer needed for submission to Canada Embassy? It seems impossible. But if it is really needed I would like to know if NBI clearance is enough or do I still need to get a Police Clearance in my place?

Another question regarding Checklist #13. I have worked abroad for more than a year (2008-2009). Do I still need to obtain a Police Clearance from abroad where I lived for more than 6 months before although I am now in the Philippines for more than a year since I came back?

If you or anyone knows the answers to my questions please let me know. Thank you very much and God bless.

it doesnt matter whether you are not currently employed dahil hindi ito makaka affect ng application ninyo. CIC guidelines states that for the past 10 years at least you have 1 year full time experience sa claim mong work ( NOC)

I already passed the initial application at CIO. I am in the 2nd stage now which is, I have to submit the required docs to Canada embassy in Manila? Is the Police clearance will really be asked at later time?

in our case, we sent our NBI clearance together with the rest of the required documents when we submitted them to CEM. Just make sure your NBI clearance is recent, has correct info (meaning correct spelling of names, date of birth and so on) and of course the purpose should be VISA Canada.

hope this helps!good luck!

Ah okey. Thanks. It really helps me. By the way, is a Police Clearance from our city will still be needed?or just NBI clearance?

Based on updated (08.2010) Manila Visa Specific Requirements, if you are submitting after June 26, 2010, police clearance (as in our case, NBI) are not to be submitted to CIO. However, this will be requested when the application is put into processing and must be submitted within the time frame indicated in the request.

To quote:
"If you are submitting your application to the CIO on or after June 26, 2010, the
police certificates are not required with your complete application to the CIO. If your
application is placed into processing you will be required to provide police
certificates to the visa office at a later date." (E37025 - updated 08.2010)

Also, take note of this when you are required to submit to the visa office:

"When you submit the police certificates to the visa office, ensure they have been issued in the last three months and no earlier. Certificates that are more than three months old on receipt will not be accepted." (EG7 Guide to Application - updated 07.2010)

They will request the police clearance in writing...

July 2010 - Name in ECAS is already correct
