hi everybody,

It help me a lot during my processing time for my papers for canada. Sa lahat nang mga seniors... who have answered my queries .. salamat ulit.

i will be moving to my second home - Canada. Sa 28 yung alis ko via cathay pacific and then westjet airline for my domestic. Its not a joke when we talk about migrating. Naka stress actually. Lahat you have to think about from the clothes you will bring, to the pasalubong, ang mga books na dadalhin at saka mga anxieties na dadala mo papuntang Canada.

but i know it will be worthy it at the end. Yung pdos ko will be this coming friday.

i will share my landing experience next time..

for now take care and good luck

Happy for you! and yes, please don't forget to share your landing and job hunting experience. :)

I have a question re # 8 on the Document-Checklist-Centralized Intake Office (CIO)- pag sinabing 2 self-addressed mailing labels one in English, mailing envelopes po ba to? yung Airmail envelopes?

Re # 13 Background Declaration and #11 Economic Classes- if m currently employed, pwede po ba "PRESENT" isulat ko sa Year/Month or dapat yung current date (the date of signing of the form) for example 2010 09 kahit na currently employed ako?

Hi imbubbles!!! we're on the same category, did u use the job description posted for nurses on the NOC??? i cannnot begin my job description kc most of it bedside, well at present I'm a CI?? Pls. help Thanks!!

hi summer! i dont want to give you false hope pero i dont think CIs are still in. Kasi what they're asking now are nurses who are directly in contact with the patient.. puwede they do health teachings, bedside care, etc basta they are directly in contact with the patient. I posted a link about the duties and responsibilities of nurses under 3152. If you are under NOC 3151 (nurses and not vocational teachers), some of the duties posted must reflect on your JD and reference letter (certificate of employment..) other seniors?

nilagay ko lang po sa space indicated for job descriptions is "please see attached addendum". then i attached a separate sheet with detailed job description.

Mailing labels lang. So pwede ka magprint sa papel. Print it twice. With your address in the center.

Sinulat ko to date. So type written yung iba. tapos after printing, sinulat ko by hand ang "To Date".

Mas maganda kung more what is mentioned. Pwede ka lagay additional sheet. Lagay ko "details on next sheet". I can send you what word doc nung ginagawa ko, if that can help.

i agree with blueray333 na dapat similar pero hindi copied from NOC's JD.

hello psychnars! :) knw what? i did my application by myself, no agent. however i asked advise frm a canadian consul on a few things that looks vague to me. maybe this can help:
*2 self-addressed mailing labels - the advise was 4 me to buy the envelopes which has the "plastic bubbles" (sorry, forgot it's name) inside for protection of your documents. i used it in sending my documents and placed 2 self-addressed smaller envelopes inside. for the address, i printed my name and address in a bond paper and then pasted it on the envelope
*i typed PRESENT for the job where i'm currently employed
*you may use an additional sheet for your job description but i haven't used one. i only picked up some description from the NOC list but somewhat modified it. anyway, the detailed job description signed by your past and present employers will also be submitted

good luck!

Hello mga kabayan! I am very new to this forum.

I hope you can help me with my questions.

Just a brief background: We applied for skilled worker immigration in Manila Philippines in 2004. We moved to New York USA in 2008. We processed our address change but since we applied in Manila, everything was processed at the visa office in Manila even if we are here in the US. We recently received our immigrant visas.

My questions are:
1. The destination in our COPR is Vancouver BC but we wanted to change our destination to Toronto since this is the one near New York. Do we need to contact CIC about this change?

2. Granted we could change it, we are planning of just entering Canada by crossing the boarder by land - driving from New York to Toronto. Is this OK? or should we enter Canada by commercial carrier? May problema kaya?

3. Isa pang tanong ko, since nag-aaral ung anak namin ngayon saka may commitment pa kami sa trabaho dito until November, pupunta lang muna sana ang isa sa amin dun sa Toronto for a week or two (magle-leave sa trabaho) para makahanap or mag-arrange ng deal ng uupahang bahay/apt, para pag dating ng time ng permanent move namin, may matitirahan na kami na maayos, hindi na palipat-lipat or di na magho-hotel. Pano kaya un? pwede kaya un?

Salamat in advance sa mga inputs nyo.

=yes you can land anywhere you want & dont need to inform the CIC about it since you applied under FSW.

=you can enter canada by just crossing the boarder via land. we also plan to have a long drive fr CT to Toronto takes 6hrs i guess... once we receive our visa

=yes you can do that if you really decide to stay in canada for good. to follow na lang other members of the family... you can ask seniors here most esp if they experience such case.

btw, what is your status in US?
