maharlika,

you're doing the right thing. let me give u an overview. ang minimum wage dito sa ON is $10.25, un ung sa McDo etc... for students actually not a serious one. next the lowest in the food chain (sa healthcare) is yung PSW parang CNA sa US, they get about $14-$18 per hour, pero dapat may BLA or ALS ka, so if you have certificates, bring them with you. PSW lang muna inaaplayan namin dito kasi kakahintay sa assessment na yan. next, RPN mga $22-$24 per hour ang starting, with the salaray, u can buy a car and pay for the rent, u can send your show money back to where it came from (if nanghiram ka lang)... next is RN (now this one is tough, they'll make sure you'll get a hard time qualifying for this. reason: we only have 10 yrs basic education and the canadians have 12). 29 dollars sa homes starting 30 plus sa hospital. yung pinsan ko na kalaro ko lang nung araw, 24 y/0 pa lang $42 per hour! she has a nice JEEP patriot.. anyway, now, since mahirap magpa assess ng RN and kelangan ko na mag work, pinalipat ko ung assessment ko from RN to RPN, it cost me about $470. just think about it... mahirap mag PSW, back breaking work un...

Agree ako kay kiko regarding CNA work. Napakalaking sakripisyo talaga!

its like this, PSW reports to the RPN's, rpn's job is to report to the doctor and give meds and paper works (in the absence of a RN). basically lahat ng labor work sa PSW, taht's why hesitant ako mgwork... hehehehe

u nid 2 yrs experience and have to write the exam again... mahirap din daw trabaho ng nurse dito eh... ewan ko kung bakit laging pagod..

Bakit laging pagod?

upp, why move up to canada? if you don'tmind...

This is true but the only thing an RPN cannot do is assess a client which is the part that is paid more to an RN. Kaya dapat after a year we have to be an RN and after a year of MS experience mag masters na kayo, be an RN-Anesthesist or a practitioner :)

Four years ago I worked on a tertiary hospital that provides medical services to foreigners with health insurance. Men they were all fat guys. My attendants/caregivers are breaking their backs just to lift the fat foreigner up his bed. If I'll be doing that without a mechanical lifter I may think twice before signing up for the job. Just my 2cents.

PP ko PP ko nasaan ka na!!! :'( :-\ :-\ :-X :-X ??? ???

some more questions.. lapet na kasi ako submit..

I suggest na if u can get a copy of your statement and stamped by SSS include it.

i agree with u 100%. mas credible kasi yng documents from third parties. maybe that's why some visa officers no longer bother calling employers to verify our employment. they look beyond the documents we submitted.
