Thanks Karen Chu and Koji518.

To all seniors sana me mag post ng sample letter to submit sa CEM, in case close na yung previous company and I don't have any documents to attached it's been 20 yrs ago. It's really bothering me, malapit na kami mag submit full documents. Wala kami agency sarili lang apply. Thanks.

I was also about to ask the same question. Sana meh makapagbigay..

At tsaka pala, pwede ba sa isang explanation letter, nandun na lahat? I mean, like yung sa akin, tatlong company nag close na. isa isa pa ba na letter per company, or pwede isang explanation letter nalang for all? kasi same reason naman sila..

Hello all,

Just want to ask about POF. Is joint acct with my mother can be considerable to VO? The acct was "or" not "and or" which I think can be considered atleast 50% creditable on my POF.

Thanks in advance guys

the way i understand it, experience mo within the 10 years immediately preceding ur date of application ang hinihingan ng dox. so, no need na kng 20 years ago pa yng experience mo. as to the letter, ang ginawa ko is an affidavit, stating therein the reasons why i could not produce the required dox, then pina-notarized ko though, di naman tlga required. I just want to make the impression that my statements are all true and im making myself accountable to whatever i stated therein kasi public doc tlga. if you wish to make an affidavit, may mga sample template available sa net, just google it, and voila!!

good luck!

thanks, mimi!

here is the detailed timeline since I sent my full docs to manila vo:

april 15 - sent full docs to VO
april 16 - receipt of full docs according to AOR
april 20 - date of AOR (2nd)
april 26 - ecas changed to "received by VO"
june 16 - sent a follow-up email to VO re: requesting update of my case
june 18 - VO emailed back informing that my case is on queue for visa officer's review
july 13 - VO started processing my case
july 20 - change of ecas to "in process"

based on the above, it's 14 weeks or 91 days to be exact, from the 2nd AOR date to change of ecas to "in process"

i hope this helps.

now, i'm hoping na sana ok lang mga docs ko para ma waive yung interview, at sana, darating na yung med request soonest.:-) ibang stage na naman ito nang walang katapusang hintayan. Sad

some more questions..

In the Background Declaration Form:

Personal History (section 11):
- Let say, I am still with my current company. So from 2008/01 to Present. How do I put in "Present" ? The document only allows me to type in numbers, not letters. Do I leave it blank? or Do I put it in Handwriting after I print it?

Addresses (section 15: list all addresses where you have lived since 18):
- If I had a vacation in a different country, and stayed with my aunt for 3 months. Does it constitute that I lived there? Do I also have to put it here? This is more like the interpretation of "lived" vs "stayed".

Please advice..

???medyo mtagal nga ano? 91 days from 2nd AOR to "in process". I was thinking within 90 days from 2nd aor mag "in-process" ::) after that medical na, that means, haba-habaan ko pa paghihintay ko :( :( :(

anyway, ur on another step of the ladder, matatapos din yan ;D ;D ;D ;D

tnx a lot silverfox!

Hindi pwede yan. Kailangan principal applicant lang ang nasa account or principal/secondary applicant.

my personal opinion

1. in my case, i keyed in the date when I filled-out the dox, because i'm still with my present company when i submitted initial application to CIO, NS. when I submitted full dox to the visa office, i attached a letter updating the info i previously gave, and i stated "till date";
2. "lived" sounds longer than "stayed"; temporary ang nature ng stay. i think pag wla ka namang dox showing u changed ur address to that particular place tska di naman umabot ng 6 months para hingan ka ng police clearance, di na cguro kelangan pa i-disclose, unless sa canada ka din nag-vacation, because that means meron ka temporary residence permit, which is also asked in the application form, in which case, dapat disclose mo tlga.
but if u feel, mas panatag ang loob mo na sabihin ur on vacation for 3 mos on that particular place, go, go, go ;D ;D ;D

May online tracking services ba DHL? If yes, you can check the status of your package online using the track number if it was really delivered. In my case ecas changed from being in process to decision made after two weeks they received my passport but like you I still haven't got my passport and visa and it's been a month now.

Try sending your query through e-mail. If it was lost or never delivered you may still have time to replace it.

Hi Nars! Thanks again for always responding to my queries... nwei, i called again DHL last Monday and they confirmed that it was delivered the next day and named a certain person who received it.

I emailed the embassy narin for confirmation last monday but until now wala pang sagot...
nwei, I just checked my ECAS now, and it was DECISION MADE na... thanks! but when I clicked, it says --A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

what does this mean? eto ba talaga un dapat? Ganito din ba sayo? sorry nakaka-praning lang... Again Thanks Nars! ;)

Hi everyone,

I want to pay my RPRF by bank draft issued by one of the bank here in Vietnam. Do you think this is acceptable or it should be only from Philippine banks?

Anyone who can shed lights on this please.

hello smilepmendoza!! By the way in case you forgot even if you apply before june 26, 2010 the visa office checklist that we need to follow is the new one. Try to check the links that CIO gave you :) hoping for the best!

Hey Karen,

Yes! I am using the new checklist na. Hehe. Good thing because we need not produce the past 3months bank statements as proof of funds. Nalito lang kasi ako sa discussion mo when you referred to CIO. Kasi pre-Noc 29 (June 26, 2010), you need not submit any document to CIO-Sydney except the photocopy of the Ielts and passport eh. Pero I think now, you need to submit na all the documents (Not sure ha as I did not really read fully the new requirements for CIO). Anyway, I think better ang new rules (VO-Manila) kasi the only one substantially added is the part where you need to prove that your Canadian relative is actually living at the moment in Canada (like lease agreement, etc).

Pero to be safe, I would consider the term "copies" in the new rule as "original or duplicate original", "certified true copy" as certified true copy and "photocopy" as photocopy. Kasi naisip ko, if they will allow photocopy, they should have written photocopy. Like sa NSO, baka they want an original one. I think ganun na lang magiging approach ko. Otherwise, if I cant produce the original, then I will make an explanation why I cant produce the original. I think I have read that in the April Application thread.

SIge, goodluck. Balitaan tayo kapag malapit ka na submit. ;D
