hi there! anong status nang e cas mo? ako ganoon pa rin... received by VISA office. Mag 45 days na yung papers ko doon this coming may 9 or 10. I hope na sana we are gonna get a good response from them na.

Parang mabagal yung Visa office ngayon. Anyone agree? unlike last year. AFter a month raw makukuha mo yung medical request as said by my classmate na nandoon na sa canada.

andito ako sa al-moweh general hospital which is 1.5 hours away from Taif pero our hospital is in the main road if you're going or from Riyadh. Next day, I will try to go to NCB and open an account na lang sa Taif mismo. I went there yesterday ata yun pero unsuccesful kasi kailangan pa daw na nakapag-register ako sa website nila. Kairita talaga! Pero okay lang te, the more that I'm encountering problems with this initial application (pa lang ha!), the more I'll strive harder to get what I want. Ang laki kasi ng location factor ko eh kaya ang hirap. Oh well. Thanks te!

I have a question on Proof of funds, I'm planning to submit a time deposit bank certificate. But this deposit is renewable every month and the account number changes everytime I renew it. Do you think this is OK? Has anyone tried this before?

Another thing, my passport is already brown but it is not yet machine readable, Do I still have to secure a machine readble passport?

baka mauna ka pa kasi malaki probability na nagbackground check pa sila kasi di ba may lacking document ako dinaan ko lang sa letter of explanation....kaya eto just chilling down lang......ha,ha,ha worry ko lang kasi yun son ko.baka matrauma sya when everybody else will go to school in June pero sya hindi....syempre makita nya yung friends and cousins nya magschool.....am praying na sana nga lang....

For your Time Deposit as part of your proof of funds, I think that's ok inasmuch as your bank can give you a certificate of your total funds with them be it savings/current/time deposit/dollar/peso. I also have mine in Time Deposit renewable every 3 months.

For your passport, how is it that your passport is brown but not machine readable? I have no idea for the passport as I just got my first passport and I haven't used it yet

Yes you still need the machine readable passport.......pero wonder lang ako kasi brown na yung passport mo di ba dapat machine readable na yan?????

I also presented a TD in USD as a proof of funds... but my account no. doesn't change. I suggest state the date the account was opened when you request for bank certificate.

Red or maroon passport is machine readable. Green is not.

Thanks for the quick response. Yes it is brown but it's not yet machine readable, it was issued august last year. I saw the new one with a barcode, metal chip and has a thick cover. Mine is the same with the old one, color bown lang.

the one you are referring to na may chip is the latest PP, actually it was released a week after i got my brown PP.ibig sabihin we have the same PP, machine readable na rin yan kaya lang di equipped ng chip.....

That's right, we have the same PP. So machine readable na din pala yan kahit walang metal chip? Kinabahan kasi ako kala ko kailangan ko na naman renew passport eh sa 2015 pa expiration. Thanks. Magpapaapoint na sana ko sa DFA. ;D

actually, may nakakatwang story ako about PP. i renewed my PP in June 2007, after 2 weeks, nirelease nila yung news about the rbown passport so from that time i got the green PP until this january kasi 2011 pa expiration,but then i was advised by my rep to change my PP to machine readable PP, then a few weeks later another PP was issued by DFA.e talagang niloloko nga ako!he,he,he.....

hi meldz! pareho tau, received by visa office parin status ko nakakadepress na pero trying to be normal (hehe).. nag-email nga pala ako sa embassy tapos ang reply is "ur papers are still for review" ata.. basta something like that. i agree, medyo mabagal ang visa office ngaun.. sana malaman na natin agad if for medical or may additional docs..

Hi hailo.. Tanong ko lang po, hindi ko kasi nasundan din tong thread masyado.. Ano po yung lacking document mo?

Hi char, susunod na din yung sa inyo ni hailo i bet kasi halos ka-timeline ko kayo db.. ;D Ganun din sa iba, antay antay lang talaga..

About the passport, would they still consider the brown PP that we have now, which i believe almost everybody here has..? Kasi naman pabago bago ang DFA bigla.. Brown or red, iisa lang kaya yun? Kasi ang nakalagay sa PP request, they require the red, machine-readable PP.. Pero as hailo have said, machine-readable nga ang alam ko ding brown PP na meron tayo ngayon..
