I got good news this morning from Manila Visa office thru e-mail, as a response to mine last Feb 23,
That my medical request instruction and RPRF has been sent last Feb 23 (the same day I sent my e-mail)

:D <<== happy na kami ng wifey ko.

kaso... :-[ hinihingan kami ng FBI clerance (deadline in 60 days) even if my wife is just a tourist when she went to the US and only stayed for more than 5 months (but less than 6 months of course). She made 3 vacations and her last trip to NV was just for 3 weeks.

Do you think po ba na subject for re-consideration po to? do we have any case in this forum that someone successfully corrected the Visa office and that it was considered? Nakaka takot kasi yung 'FBI clearance' thread dito sa forum, 10-14 weeks daw yung processing.

I'm thinking of sending them an e-mail with the hopes of not insulting them - and they'll revise their decision, what do you think?

Thanks po!

please help po....

how do people in the embassy check our money for POF when bank officers are not allowed to give anyone any information as to how much money we have in our account? Im not very sure for other banks but for PNB (my bank) they dont give any info as to how much...

any idea?

thanks everyone ;D
Hi char_bonel, did you send bank statement/certificate? my bank is PNB as well. My documents reach Manila 24th feb. I gave them 1year bank statement as per visa office requires. They also issued bank certificate on how much is our current balance. My sister told me (she's also in Canada now) that the only way visa office can check our account is to ask the bank if they made a bank certificate to so and so with reference number etc..and how long the account is.

I got a dollar saving accounts of more than 3 years. When my savings reach a considerable amount I transfered most of it in a time deposits and I will be using this as a POF. But I made the transfer less than a year ago :-[. In the form Net worth statement there is a question regarding date opened and maturity date of time deposits will this have an effect since i made the tranfer in less than a year even if it clearly shows that I have the funds for more than 3 years in my savings accounts? Is there a specific instruction that time deposits should be more than a year?

What other people are doing is sending a cover letter explaining that the FBI clearance is currently being processed and teh timeline it takes to process and they also provide a copy of the FBI request that they filled up. That is just my opinion. Maybe the visa officer handling your case deemed five months was a significant amount of time spent in the US and merited some background check. It is good that you are at the medical stage now, you're almost at the end of the process, I think they will allow you to submit the FBI a bit later as long as you provide an explanation to them. I submitted my initial docs to my VO which was in Buffalo without the FBI clearance, my lawyer just sent a letter explaining why it was delayed. You can also ask the opinions of other members. Good luck!

i have a question mga kabayan... i have 2 co-workers who submitted the documents at the same time but different consultants. now my question is the first co-worker (single) got her medical request after 1 month from the day she passed her documents... but the other one (applied as family composed of 3) has not yet received any feedback..

what could be the reason behind this delay?
1. could it be because of the consultants?
2. could it be because the other applied as single and its faster to process compared to the other one?

i think it depends on the visa officer who reviewed their documents... some officers are not so strict ( i was told) and some are really meticulous so they verify every single thing written. And, Knowing that the 1st applicant is single, there are few documents to be studied/reviewed compared to the documents sent by the 2nd appliocant with a family of 3
