Hi, I'm new here. I've been studying the instructional guide for FSW. upon self assessment I did not reach the 67 points.

here are the details:

Education= 20
age= 10
Language= (*about to take IELTS general module= aiming for 16 points)
Work Experience (2 years and ongoing as staff nurse)= 17
Adaptability= 0
Arranged Employment=0

Total: 63

I am capable of providing the needed proof of funds.

I am still eager to submit my application after taking the ielts this year because I read in the website that I can still apply with points less than the 67 passmark, I just need to prove the I can be economically established in Canada and provide documents for my claim. My question is, what specific documents are those?

I also have a friend, same case as you are in.
The advise from an immigration consultant:

marry a professional (that adds 5 points for adaptability)
or
study french and take the exam (may add up to 6 points or more for language)

sa mga bibili ng tiket...as much as possible avoid hongkong for stop over. some of airport staff are rude to filipinos. my friend's flight to vancouver was 2 hrs delayed so nahuli sya sa nxt flight nya going to winnipeg & her whole family(5members) stayed overnight in vancouver airport....what a hassle! i dunno if it was coincidence...

Salamat sa mga bati. naka-schedule ako sa Oct 11 sa PDOS at CIIP tpos n ako last sept. 20-21. yung COA naman sa oct 06 p daw pero dito kc ako sa Cagayan de oro, kaya baka ndi n ako maka-attend. Ang flight namin going to Toronto will be on OCt 25. na, May ticket n kmi.
Anyway! Sana makita-kita tyo dun at Sana may forum din tyo sa CANADA.

Cge imbubbles para kita-kita tyo doon sa PDOS.. may nakita me na mura ang fare thru expedia. one stop lang sya..Japan-Air canada.. around $704 and one way and the travel time is nasa 18-19hrs lng compared sa iba na 20+ hrs tapos amost $900-$1000. stop over sya sa japan..

pamazana.. taga cagayan de oro ka pala? wow..magkalapit din pala tyo. i am from iligan city pero dito na me sa manila naka base since 1991. i'll be going home sa iligan on the 9th of oct. tapos punta me camiguin sa 11-12 then mag overnight us sa cdo. hahaha. see you sa toronto...btw.. san kyo sa toronto? sa scarborough nman kami...gawa tyo ng forum din natin pagdating doon.. although hindi natin kakalimutan etong forum na eto. ang daming tulong na idinulot sa amin/ atin.. hehe heh

Sa expedia din ako buy ng ticket $585 kmi each. 2 adults and 2 kids. Japan air and air canada din. sa iba ang quoting nila sa amin ay 1100 sa adult and 850 naman sa mga bata. grabe!

Yung wife ko ang taga-CDO, pero ako sa bulacan. work kc ako dito sa CDO. Sa Oct. 10 naman ang alis namin dito sa CDO. tapos 2 weeks din sa manila, prepare ng mga gamit.Sa oct. 25 naman ang alis going to canada. Baka sa Scarborough din kmi, kc dun yung brother ko. we will stay there for awhile then plan to transfer sa mississauga. Cge bro. kita kits tyo dun. Ingat!

May mga factors to be considered.

1. Albert kasi with his family. Mas inuuna yung nag-apply as family.. Ako single
2. Yung skill. Yung wife ni Albert is nasa Healthcare which is one of the in-demand work... Ako sa IT naman which is wala na sa NOC ngayon.
3. Yung city/province, sila Albert sa Alberta while ako sa Vancouver which one of the most populated cities in Canada.


May mga factors na nag-cause din ng delay.. Like sa akin for the last 5 years mali yung birthdate ko which is last Sept ko lang na-update.. Although nakikita nila na 3x na ako nag-apply ng tourist visa, they may not be able to properly trace yung record ko kasi mali nga yung b-day ko to begin with.

Wag ka kabahan.. as long as complete naman yung na-submit mo and abot ka sa requirements during the time na nag-submit ka, no worries.. san ka pala na city if ever?

zshasimi....family status din kmi, civil engr kmi mag-asawa.. and sa calgary, alberta ang target namin kasi nandun ang sister ko na canadian citizen na rin.... next week i will submit the original copy of my ielts and change address na rin cguro pra maupdate ang records ko...bka skaling mapansin na rin....lets hope for the best.... pinakamadugo tlga paghihintay natin d2 s lhat ng mga applicants....
