Thanks, dgm, for the reply. Its enlightening. You said you submitted your application papers to CIO last Sept 01, 2010. So your application is under the June 2010 scheme? I have some questions for you, dgm. in submitting your "college or university documents- copies of certification of completion and the graduation degree, diploma or certificate issued by the university/college"- can i submit my diploma certified by a lawyer na lang, kasi di nman "certified true copies" ang required, copies lang nman. Wala nman akong certification of completion, transcript of records lang na may nakasulat na date of degree competion. Ok na ba kahit walang certification of completion?

i asked my consultancy agent regarding your concern, he told me that you only have to pay for yourself and your kids since your wife is not coming. i did the same thing. i would be leaving my two kids behind, so we paid for the bankdraft just for the both of us.

our POF should be CAD20,600 (P960k) for the whole family but we were only able to provide around P770k of bank certificates plus land titles worth P400k coz the agency said it's ok.

but people from other threads say otherwise, which just increased my anxiety coz we've submitted all our documents already sept.1,2010. all i can do now is wait and pray that my agency advised me accordingly.

i hope i was able to enlighten you a bit.

Goodluck to all of us. :)

I have some questions for you, dgm, and for everyone

For DGM: you said you and your spouse paid for the application fee tapos yung kids di muna na accompany sa inyo. Did you present a "proof that you are fulfilling your parental obligations stated in the custody agreement" as stated in the Application IMM 7025 (Manila Visa Office Specific Instructions). Eto daw isubmit kapag your kids are not accompanying you.

Did Canadian embassy asked for up dates? Or your own initiative?

Tumira kasi ako sa US and Switzerland last 2005 and 2007-2008.

Spiderman,

I got this from the "instruction Guide" of CIC.

Certified copies or notarized documents

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

* “I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”
* the name of the original document
* the date of the certification
* his or her name
* his or her official position or title
* his or her signature

Who can certify copies?

People authorized to certify copies include the following:

In Canada:

* a commissioner of oaths
* a notary public
* a justice of the peace

Outside Canada:

* a judge
* a magistrate
* a notary public
* an officer of a court of justice
* a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living

I hope this helps.
