Hi gogocanada,

Yung fist official language na tinutukoy dito is yung "Canadian official language" which is either English or French. If you choose English as your first of official language in #5 question in IMM0008E (Schedule 3 Economic Class-Fed Skilled Workers), you can obtain a maximum of 16 points. French automatically becomes 2nd. official language with a maximum score of 8 pts.

Based on your IELTS score, you scored 12:

listening - 7.5 = 4 pts.
reading - 6.0 = 2
writing - 6.0 = 2
speaking- 8.0 = 4
Total 12 pts.

So I think based on this, your total score is 65.

I know somebody who is taking French course to get some points as well on the 2nd official language.

Hope this info helps.

you need to determine if your 5 years experience in restaurant business is included in the 29 list of illegible occupation, if it is included then you can use it, otherwise you have to wait until your experience as nurse reaches 0ne year.

send your application to CIO in sydney nova scotia.

you need to send the NBI and all other requirements. refer to the guide in cic.gc.ca website for more info.

Hi, guys, im new here and this is going to be my first post. After the june 26 changes my occupation was listed sa noc (architect). I just have a few queries.

1. Do I have to submit two sets of applications? One for the CIO in Nova Scotia and one for the Manila Visa Office? Where do i send the Payment for the processing fee?

2. I'm applying for myself, my spouse and my 1 year old daughter, but I'm planning to go to canada first on my own to settle down and prepare everything so that it would be easier for my wife and kid to follow and settle down woth me. Is that i allowed that i go first?

Thanks for this forum and a big thanks to those who are answering queries, its a big help esp for those like me who are just applying on their own.

1. No you don't have to submit two sets of application. You need to submit everything to CIO first, then they will be the one to forward it to the Visa Office.

2. Yes you can go there first. but, your family should still go there before the visa expires. That time is within one year after you all had your medical.

Hi..if you reach 67 points even without your husbands degree then please go on and file your application already. But if you need his degree to reach the required 67 points then i believe there are no other options but to wait for him to graduate.

I did just that. we were suppose to apply last year but we were waiting for my husbands diploma..:)

hi archbiggy! I've been reading a thread regarding application after 6/26 and most of them called CIO and according to CIO they will not issue AOR for the next 33weeks after application is filed.
